Porsche money doubtful. Maybe a Used 2006 Cayenne, or 2001 Boxster both with 100K miles. You have all these OG's nobody is going to pay you top dollar for your 1998 More Uptempo's when they could just buy they 2016 version for retail or below.

You can list these OG's whatever you think top dollar is for them. You won't get it. You won't sell them. 

This is my point.

Infrared 1s come out damn near every year in some shape or form (engineered mesh, flyknit, seamsless, etc). They been coming out in OG form like every 3 years for a while. No one was going to pay you retail for them even if they were DS.

No one cares about having old releases of retro models anymore. They'd rather have a fresher pair that'll last longer. Why buy 2006 Grapes when you can get the 2013 version?

Porsche money doubtful. Maybe a Used 2006 Cayenne, or 2001 Boxster both with 100K miles. You have all these OG's nobody is going to pay you top dollar for your 1998 More Uptempo's when they could just buy they 2016 version for retail or below.

Im not talking flight club prices, im talking getting Back either a lil over MSRP or under on average.

Da only thing u taking a loss on every time is fitteds.....not a total loss, but you'll never get what u pay for. They're just simply mass produced.
 
I cashed out in 2012, bought a motorcycle, and vacationed with the rest. It was always weird to me that in every thread people were buying 3 and 4 pairs of the same shoe. I mean I understand why the resellers did it, but buying them just to store in your closet?

Its a held over relic when Nike didn't retro things..da whole 80- 90's basically.
 
I cant think of alot of things that didnt retro that would get major bucks tho.

Forces probably cuz they last forever.

I know there is a huge niche market for air max here and also in europe but im not so sure of the shelf life of bubbles u know.
I had air max deluxes and those things were caput after few wears.
and like op said retros kinda hurt the value....if u gotta ds pair of hyperblue tuned airs ...theyre alot more rare if there was no retro.

All my og sneakers from the 90s i copped off ebay are done.

I think now if u wanna make real money it has to be the hype.
Yeezy....supreme...limited js.....etc.

I was never into reselling tho but thats just wat it seems like to me.

2002 cats would pay 180 for nds penny og 2s off ebay
Now u can get em fresh from the store.

Things that i would of given an arm and a leg for 10 yrs ago i cop on discount.

I'm with you OP. I went to sole supremacy a long time ago and they offered me $250 for my VNDS blk/red 1's from 2001, and $350 for my DMP 6/11 pack 0]

I'd rather give them away to family and friends than to get robbed

Getting ur MSRP back & more for old kicks or used kicks is great, thats held value.

At the time, they had them on their site for $700-$1000. I know they need to make money off them, I get that. But I think they could've hit me with a better offer than that
 
Should have cashed out at the peak. When I noticed people jumping from hyped release to hyped release and literally recycling shoes (buying a shoe, trading it for the next hype shoe) I knew older shoes wouldn't hold their resell value.

I didn't make out too bad Round Two RVA gave me a 3K check for my shoes.

if you're selling em all at once and it aint some crazy yeezy pe exclusive collection you will get lowballed. If you take the time to move stuff and move em individually depending on what you have you'll get paid. Even worn I could easily get over 20-30k for my kicks and that's a low estimate

:lol: Yeah they tried to get you, DMP pack can easily hit for 1500.



That's the thing, if you're willing to grind it out, you can definitely net market value for anything.


If you need cash fast, you're going to get taken advantage of. Places like RIF/SoleSupremacy will gladly rob you for your whole collection for pennies on the dollar.


Tweet them, ask if they think the resale market is dying.


Or perhaps ask Dan Gilbert who invested in StockX, or the Luber brothers.


Ask 23penny, ask Justin Amazing or Croatian Style.


Matter fact, ask Corgi. Since older retros allegedly don't move anymore since they're being re-retroed.

That's the thing. Sell them individually and it will take 3-5 years.  And they will have been retroed by then and you will most likely settle for less simply because the value nor demand is not there.

Trimmed my collection of shoes when I got married in 07 and it definitely helped paint/update fixtures and furnish our place.
