Is Social Media hurting NT or we gucci?

Lets be honest guys...i didn't think Facebook would last this long, and swallow Instagram whole, and Twitter still limping along, plus snapchat which i detest...thats, alot of eyesball not on NT.

But this place still "moves fast" so i cant tell persay...
 
NT and WSHH is all I need to keep up with the foolishness going on in the world. I retired from FB IG etc. 4 years ago and havent been on since. Feels good :smokin

But to answer your question as long as people worry about whats going on in other peoples lives FB and IG aint going nowhere.

Yeah I don't think NT can compare to social media. It's completely different. We come here to shoot the ish on random *** topics :rofl:

Im pretty sure people have learned that if threads aren't created things dont get talked about which makes this place molasses.

Go to nike retro and look for a specific pair of air force I's or air maxes..that what TAN was doing here last time i left...
 
Social media and NT two different things.

NT is like the lodge fred and barney hung out at afterwork and on the weekend
 
Most of my people on social media are people I know in real life and in my area/state. I like coming to NT to get that perspective from around the country
 
NT will be good for a while as long as the core users do their part. 

Most of us are grown now, and have families, so we have to use our time wisely.

Only thing hurting NT are these randoms with no wave to surf.

They try way too hard to surf someone else's, and start doing the most.



Like they may see me and Ninjahood going back and forth, and jump in it talking slick like "you're pathetic", "kill yo'self", etc...

Not knowing if I saw Ninja in the hood we'd probably go grab beer and chop it up and crack jokes for few, same with ksteezy.
 

That's just how New Yorkers are.



But these new dudes, and clingy randoms dying to test out their slick talk don't know where to draw the line and with who.

Saying stuff they know will get pieces of their nose punched out the back of their skull in real life....

I don't really respond to it, because you can't fight ignorance online and you'd be foolish to try.

However, I will log off and just not contribute as much. Same goes for other users who I've seen do exactly that..


When HT was active, that's where we'd go to really vent about these dudes.

They would get roasted into oblivion and couldn't do anything about it.

And when they logged back on to NT, they knew to watch their mouths from then on.



...social media changed that, because some usernames started letting their online persona bleed into their offline lives.
And again, some of the weirdos and randoms just didn't know how to chill.


Therefore, NT changed a lot and that's what hurts the community.

The weirdos and randoms running around here ungoverned by the core users who hold NT together.

NT And a few other Sites are literally where Culture Vultures like Complex come to get all their articles from. I think NT needs to form a "News Wing" where posters here can post articles and such and generate revenue here opposed to Lurkers from Hipster sites taking all of the info from here.
 
Facebook is mostly for chumps with zero social skills basically. But I'm not that concerned about NT or FB or IG or this or that because I have a life.......
 
Been here since I was 14, in the summer of 2001. I done got so much game from NT. NT is like my cyber stepdad. A lot of contributions on this raised me and taught me stuff. :pimp: Bury me in a NIKETALK t-shirt :pimp:
 
NT not going anywhere, it's survived all the social media eras and still see new members popping up all the time. I come here to read and get a different perspective on things discussed on social media, just to get a different view.

I will say personally i mainly have used NT get a laugh or two, but i think when twitter became popular in '10 it stole all the cats i found entertaining on here.
 
Social media is hurting society in general. It's a hiding space. It's the equivalent of putting your hands on your pocket.

I scroll fb to find out what's popping, and come to nt for more insight and conversation.
 
im not really present much on social media, but i have been known to send an InMail message on Linkedin...

i like NT Gen because of the fact that I DON'T know any of the users, i can learn about things that may be relevant to people in their worlds...
