Great win for the Dream today. They were very aggressive overall, and they all stepped up.

Toliver was not good at all today.

I know the Sparks lost, but Nneka was dominant. Too bad for her foul trouble, though.

Theres something to be said about embracing star power and feeding the narrative. She'll get all the credit cause the media puts her at the center of it all and she responds accordingly.

Was confused as hell at first by the some of the playoff matchups.

Then I found out that they switched the playoff format this year.

Sparks and Lynx in the WNBA Finals instead of the WCF as they should be.

- This playoff format is trash. No way should any team skip straight through to the semifinals. Also, there's no place for single game elimination in professional basketball, WNBA included.

- This season really was the perfect storm for the LA Sparks. They grabbed the 2nd seed, which allowed them to avoid Minnesota until the finals because of the wacky playoff format. Also, on top of that the format put them straight in the WCF then to top it all off, they ran into a Chicago team that was without della donne. So much went right for LAS this season, but credit to them for taking advantage of this. No way do they make the finals in last season's playoff format. They aren't better than minnesota, and idk if they would have beaten phoenix this year either.

- It really sucks that they have to play a finals home game at the galen center. First time in over a decade the sparks get in the finals and they have to play game 3 at the Galen. Semi unrelated, but I would be in full support of them playing their home games at the galen instead of STAPLES anyway.

All that being said, I hope they shock the hell out of me, even though I don't think they will. Pulling for LA but Minnesota will be too much.
