OFFICIAL 2016 @MiamiHEAT SEASON THREAD::::

Tyler Johnson's numbers:
Most Heat can give Tyler Johnson in a direct signing (w/ EB rights):
$6,191,000 + $6,654,250 + $7,118,500 + 7,582,750 = $27,545,500 total
— Albert Nahmad (@AlbertRandom1) July 3, 2016
Most another team can give Tyler Johnson (Heat can match):
$5,628,000 + $5,881,260 + $25,434,263 + $26,477,067 = $63,420,590
— Albert Nahmad (@AlbertRandom1) July 3, 2016
And the total amount for Wade sans a miracle with KD:
If Heat bid for Kevin Durant is unsuccessful, currently has $18,913,988 in cap room left over for Dwyane Wade (including Johnson + Weber).

I never expected that to actually happen . I don't really think the media played up the chances of it happening either,it's been mostly the Clips/Dubs and C's who have been reported as the favorites if he does leave. Just glad that we're somehow in the mix even given the awful cap situation, shows the Don still has that pull around the league :pimp:

Can't wait for the meeting to be done with though, business should finally start to pick up after that.

Nets to sign Heat’s RFA Tyler Johnson to 4-year, $50M offer sheet (with $12.5M cap hits if Heat don't match). Still have $24.2M in cap room.

I never heard the clips and the dubs to be favorites or the Celtics at all. Sports illustrated reported it was likely either golden state or miami.

Jeeeeez.... :frown:

Told yall Tyler was probably out. Our bench is non existent. This season about to be a tank if we don't hit the luxury tax

All I'm saying is if he was supposedly blown away by the clippers. I like my chances with riley.

All in for TJ and Juwan Howard's son.

Give Wade the mid level.

The future is now...

Looking at summer league and I'm liking this guy Stefan Jankovic. Very fluid shooter and he's 6'11 :wow:

Trade McBob so you can pay Wade, move Justise to the starting 3 spot and develop him as a sharp shooter off the bench.

I'm also really liking Briante Weber. Dude is a stud. He's a hawk on defense and he's crazy athletic. A decent replacement for Tyler Johnson if you ask me. Only thing he's missing is a consistent jumper, but he more than makes up for it with his defense and play making ability.

Heat's young pups have been dominating the Summer League so I'm not really worried about losing aging guys like Deng or Johnson. The Heat's youth can step in those slots as long as Whiteside, Dragic, Wade, and a healthy Bosh are present. And lets not underestimate a guy like Haslem who is like a player coach keeping things competitive and running smoothly.

All in all, if things work out with Wade and IF Bosh somehow is able to play a full season I like our chances in the East. We'll have to wait and see how things shake out.

There is currently zero front court depth

McBob will be traded
Haslem is done if you're being honest yourself
Bosh still a ?
Deng & JJ gone
Amare no thanks

Man...I feel for Wade. On one hand he really loves the Heat and has no intentions of leaving. But on the other hand I'm sure he's seeing how much power LeBron and KD have, and he knows that in the end--the players are his real family. Micky and Riley work for the League, not the NBAPA. Their number 1 priority is to get the most with the least. I would not fault him one bit for leaving. He deserves to get paid. BUT how could he leave the young guys behind? Winslow, Richardson, TJ, Whiteside? Not to mention an ailing Bosh...not being able to see his triumphant return?

I'm convoluted just thinking about it. But I think he ultimately does come back. The bond he has with the bro's may help ease the sting a bit.
