OFFICIAL 2016 @MiamiHEAT SEASON THREAD::::

I really love what I'm seeing man ...this, this will be fun lol

I was trying to tell people... Coach Spo got this team of youngsters playing hard. The Heat are versatile, young, and athletic. I think they're going to dominate bad teams and struggle against the good and elite teams. Only major weakness is at the PF position IMO...

I like what we have at PF, both Johnson and Williams can handle a little and blend with our guard centric rotation. I'd start Williams because he can rebound

I just don't know how'll they will fair against some of the elite PF's in the league defensively. But I'm really liking what Johnson brings. He's really impressed my in the pre-season the few times I've seen him.

Do ya'll see Briante making the team or does Spo go with Beno as the last roster spot?

We're just going to have to deal with the defense, our overall team defense is just going to have to cover it up.

I don't think, nor did I ever think Beno's job was in jeopardy. Wish we had Bosh's roster spot for Bri. Underrated move would be to just cut Babbitt and trust our forward depth

Weber has a long ways to develop but I'd rather he be here than in the dleague

Great points... It's tough not having that extra spot and I'm sure a team will claim him in the d-league. This is a point of contingency in the new collective bargaining agreemant, so hopefully in the future the system is more like baseball in that teams can claim players while in the D-League.

Its in Gods hands now #NewBeginning

Rodney McGruder made the team over Beno and Briante Weber.... WOW, that was a pleasant surprise. Dude can flat out play and he proved it this pre-season. I really thought they would pick another point guard, but they chose the best player and I salute them for it. Many franchises would've cut him, but he's a guy that makes wining plays. The Heat really loves the 3 & D guys.... Shooters and defenders everywhere on this team :lol:

So many lineup choices and mismatches. This is very interesting and I could see Spo playing a lineup with all guards and Whiteside. 3's all day and a wide open lane for Whiteside. Teams are really going to have to pick their poison with the Heat.

The game that sealed the deal for McGruder...

Playing without a backup point scares me, smart to pick the best available player but I feel like they could have cut the fat elsewhere... Like Babbitt but all in all a good move

I hope Bri and Udrih find what they're looking for

I'm with you becasue TJ is not a point guard, and we don't really have anyone on the bench that can consistanly get the team into the offense. But with Bosh and McRoberts taking up slots is tough. Hopefully they can get by until Bosh is off the books and they can plug in someone else at that spot.

Waiters is our back-up point so-to-speak, I don't Invision he'll have the same success as pre-season Waiters but it should be fun

Yea that's pretty much it. And let me say that it's gonna be very advantageous to have Willy Reed as our backup center. It's almost no drop off when Whiteside goes to the bench and he's also going to be surrounded by shooters as well....

Yup. Our centers are playing with dream casts. It's all about them moving forward
