GOAT APP legit?

I purchased a pair of KD 9s recently from Goat and the shoes were marked as new. I got them and there was no tissue paper and fooooooor sure not factory laced. So.....I don't understand their authentication process. I didn't care about those 'issues'. Just find it interesting to see these problems people are having with Goat.

Thats the point right there. Some shoes are treated differently so either list a seller guide with pics of what is new to them (factory laced, paper, etc) or they will continue to have problems from both ends buyers and sellers. Damn some shoes come with ripped paper directly from NDC or have no paper or laced at all when purchased at a NFS ....

if they arent high dollar items... aint nobody care bout them

I see what you mean. It makes me wonder that as well. I dont sell much that was my 6th sale on Goat all year but come on!
Yep, same number of sales here recently and as others mentioned I can see it swing both ways for buyers and sellers. I recently copped a pair of '16 banneds from goat and there were some quality issues (heel area scratches and discoloring), so their assessments are hardly consistent with my buyer & seller experiences.

i feel bad for the dudes who bought shoes off goat thinking theyd get them in time for xmas. lol.
:frown: yep, they received a couple of shoes from me nearly two weeks ago and just got "authenticated" recently. Their emails must be blowing up.

What if they're swapping good pairs they get for bad pairs they wanna let go [emoji]128064[/emoji]

That would be the end of GOAT as sellers with definitely catch on. I don't think they are doing that, but who knows.  I just believe they have not defined their  "verification process" all to well or have different "experts" with totally different criteria and shoes sent get randomly verified by one of them with different levels of quality checks.

The box thing is so stupid. There's not one place that lets you see the box or guarantees it wont get damaged in transit. What does GOAT do if the box is damaged after you send it or in transit after authentication?

The thing with them nit-picking defects is they lose part of their commission if the shoe gets sold discounted or they lose the entire thing if the transaction gets cancelled. They also have to put the time into taking the photos, contacting the seller, etc. They are really only doing it to uphold their "brand" if you will. If you buy from them, you can be sure your pair will be flawless.

With that said, I've definitely shifted selling on stockx more than goat now. Higher fees but they upgraded their shipping to 2 day air which means you get paid 2-3 days after you ship. No waiting 2 weeks to be authenticated like GOAT. Plus, they understand factory defects and are a lot more lenient.

Buy from goat. Sell on stockx.

I've bought three pairs from GOAT using the offer feature. Each time the box was noticeably worse condition than what you get from a direct order from Nike. I didnt give it a second thought until this thread because the shoes were obviously in new condition. I really hope they don't have a bunch of idiot employees turning off sellers because I for one have enjoyed the buying experience.

That would be fine but then you have buyers saying their pairs aren't up to par either

The last pair I sold on GOAT as I was shipping I noticed the box had a spot where a price label was torn off the box and removed some of the carboard. I messaged GOAT to provide pictures because I did not want to ship shoes and then have them complain about the box. They told me it wast an issue and they only care when the box is damaged to the point of not being able to be used. They said if the box is structurely sound it's OK. I saved that chat conversation and shipped out the shoes. It's been 2 weeks and GOAT still hasn't "authenticated" them. I keep waiting for that email saying the box is damaged and I need to offer a discount...

how do i sell an item for an asking price?

ive been trying to sell some shoes but not sure how it works. i made a listing and clicked on the price. it has a sell now button. i click it and it confirms it for the price, but nothing happens. now i just have a listing for the same price.

You wait for the buyer to confirm the sale

GOAT customer service is absolutely wretched it's a joke how terrible they are haha

I've only contacted their Customer Service once and the person I got was extremely helpful. Can't complain as of right now.
