GOAT APP legit?

A glue stain on the tongue? Seriously? I never even pulled the ******* shoes out the box until I had to take pics for goat

I never even examined the shoes but a glue stain is an issue?

Watch the buyer deny the shoes and I'm gonna sit here with two shoes stuck at goat because of BS
Man, I'm gonna go ahead and take my shoes off, can't believe the Mod that works there actually is acting like there isn't an issue with the petty flaws they are finding.

This is absolutely uncalled for. Glue stains inside tongue.
This company seriously needs to rethink the business model.

Im done with goat. Just had my second bad experience in 4 sales. First was a pair that tried to say wasnt ds, should have learned my lesson there. Just sold one that it looks like ups lost, scanned it over the weekend at a ups locker, put it in and hasnt been picked up yet. Driver told me that one locker isnt opening so that could be it. Problem there is the confirmation email doesnt tell you what locker you used, just that you used the lockers and I dont remember which. Ups will have the info on their end. On goats end though, they cancelled the order, refunded the buyer and lowered my rating all without looking into the matter with ups. Smh. I told them they need to file a claim immediately. Why am I not getting any benefit of the doubt, especially when I have the emails to show I dropped off 2 pkgs for them and one was scanned and is on the way and the other is missing. If it is found now, I am also out the sale due to UPS. Never had trouble selling here or ebay, goat can suck a bag of *****.

The automatic cancellation should be done away with.

Slang has a similar timeframe but they don't cancel the order on their end. When the time expires, they give the buyer the option to cancel. They also allow you to have contact with the seller/buyer.

For GOAT, the time expiration should be flagged on their end to investigate hands-on to decide what should happen.

It's bad because the transition to UPS is hurting sellers only..I mentioned this earlier in the thread.

Exactly. I'm agreeing with you in my post. There are still scenarios that can arise to no fault of the seller.

A perfect example is a package I'm scheduled to receive today. It was physically dropped off at UPS on 12/29 in CA but the online status looked as if the seller had generated the shipping label and not dropped it off. There was no movement via tracking until yesterday (1/4) when it arrived in OR. It was in UPS possession for six days and moved a state before being scanned.

That's not the sellers fault. He held up his end of the bargain beautifully. That's 100% on UPS. Thankfully, I'm able to have contact with the seller which generated picture proof of the UPS receipt.

Had this been automated via GOAT, our transaction would've been long cancelled and we'd both be pissed.

This my email conversation with GOAT the past 2 days ...

Me: Hello,
I made 2 cash out transactions on 12/27/16 but do not see either deposited in to my account. Every other time that I have done a cash out it appears in my account within 2 days. I understand with the New Year holiday, weekend, and bank holiday on Monday but today (Jan 3) is the 4th business day since cashing out.
In your FAQ section it says that bank info is wrong if it takes longer than 3 days but that is not that case as I have done a cash out 2 times prior to these with the same bank account.
If you could look in to this asap that would be great as $252.44 is sitting out in limbo somewhere.
The order numbers were:#_______ #_______
Thank you,

Hi DJ,

Thanks for contacting GOAT! Cash out transactions typically take 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday excluding holidays) to process. However, if an incorrect account or routing number is entered, it may cause some delays, I have forwarded your cash out to our accounts department to further investigate. I'll be sure to follow up with you as soon as I receive an update on this matter.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else in the meantime.

Best,
Winnie

Me: Yes I understand the 2-3 days business day window and holidays. But today is the 5th business day (28, 29, 30, 3, 4) and my deposit is still not there. As I mentioned before my bank information is correct because I have cashed out twice to this same account already.
Please let me know what it is going asap, as this is not leaving me with a good impression.
Thanks

Hi Marquise,

Thanks for following up! Our accounts department has reviewed both your cash outs and can confirm that that both cash outs were successfully processed. If you have not yet received your funds, I would recommend contacting your bank for additional clarification on this matter as the funds were successfully transferred on our end.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best,
Winnie

So preparing to call my bank once I get on to work, sit down at my desk and thought to myseld man they better not pull some fast s*** and try to delete the sale from my account. So I hop on the app and check my credits ...

Question, can you cash out only a portion of your money or does a cash out do the full amount you have in Goat?

Ok so quick question for those that have sold on GOAT, was browsing last night and saw 2 pairs of shoes ppl were offering xxx amount, so i went ahead with the procedure to sell (i was already approved), there were eye icons on those two items. now it's just a star and i have no confirmation of a sale or anything, what gives? anyone have the same experience?

someone else took the sale and your star is the lowest current available.  or you marked your pair with defects so it does not auto sell as it's considered under a different category

Nothing in your orders? If you have less than 150 feedback they still have to review your listing before being sold so that could take several hours. In that time period, someone else who already has an active listing or more than 150 feedback (they don't have to take pics of their shoes) can take that best offer.

Those who have been having problems with UPS not scanning must not have read how much more awful USPS was. The chance that USPS didnt scan items or a delay in updating the tracking number was much higher especially since Post Offices closed much earlier than UPS stores, which forced people to use their drop box.

Are you guys not having UPS employees scan these packages and give you a receipt? I dropped off a box on 12/31 right before it closed (which meant it wouldn't have been picked up). The tracking number only updated to inform GOAT that it was dropped off at the UPS Store. It sat there for two days before moving because of the holidays and it was still enough for GOAT to accept that I did my part as a seller.

repped to both of you, thanks for the replies, that's pretty crappy? how can they do that when i saw the offer, took pics and what not, i'd say that's bad business practices, wtf

Never had that scenario happen but I wouldn't call it bad business practices. Looks like you just lost a sale like one could get out bid on eBay at the last minute. Usually offers are way cheaper then for sale prices so chances are if you list your pair at that offer price it would sell quickly.

Recent Goat transaction.
Sold a pair on 12/23
Dropped off early 12/24
Got to Goat on 12/29
Authenticated today 1/5.

So ya holiday stuff slowed it down but o well.

shoes need to be approved before they are made live and can actually sell. the eye icon means they have not been reviewed yet.

it's bad business practice if i see the offer, accept it, take pictures and send it in to goat for verification, and then like someone said, it sells before my pictures can be verified because someone has higher feedback.

Nah bruh. USPS comes to your house for FREE to pickup outgoing shipments. Who wants to waste time going to UPS to drop off a package? You must work for GOAT. The ONLY reason GOAT switched to UPS is because it saves GOAT money. Last pair of shoes I sold on GOAT, UPS took 11 days to deliver. USPS never took more than 3 days, usually 2.

I must work for GOAT.  That's good.

But anyway I agree with their UPS taking longer. They need to switch to StockX's 2-day shipping but whatever. I also don't trust USPS Pickup for whatever reason, especially if I'm not home and have to leave the package at home to be picked up.
