GOAT APP legit?

Just tried listing two sneakers with goat, some GRs I bought to get my grandma platinum status at champs today. Very annoying how many pics they make you take and I'm surprised how anal they are considering all you have to do to list a freaking shoe on their app :smh:
If you get past a seller score of 150, photos are optional. Most top sellers are past scores of 300 according to GOAT's staff.

As annoying it is to take pics, it's a good way to prevent scammers. The pics need to be live and if you're a scammer you can easily steal pics from twitter or the internet.

you start at 90 and only get two points a sale, that'll take a while

no because you have to send the **** in to goat before getting paid

I agree but it's also a way for GOAT to determine if you even have authentic shoes in the 1st place or whether you already have the pair in hand and ready to ship. It weeds out sellers that may waste GOAT's time if the shoes appear clearly fake, etc. I think you can only use live pictures as the app doesn't let you add from your phone's photo album.

Anyways, I still think cutting it down to 100 would be fine though.

Doesn't take that long to snap a few pictures. Besides if you're doing a private sell, more than likely the potential buyer is gonna ask for pics.

I understand the reasoning but it's still annoying. 7 pics is a lot, and the angles they want to to take of them is annoying. I feel you can scratch the shoes if you're not careful taking pics from the angles they request

im at 128 points. almost there.

question. so i sold like 4 pairs of shoes recently for someones offer, but theyre taking forever to go through. can i delete the sale without any problems from goat?

If you're talking about the confirmation stage, I would wait until it goes through. Not sure how exactly it works but I believe prematurely canceling an order can penalize your rating.

I believe you will get hit with cancellation and 10 points deducted of you change your mind now.

I would wait it out. Sometimes more expensive shoes take longer or maybe the buyer has little to no purchasing history on the app. Most of the time the sales go through. Only had GOAT cancel like 1 time before because buyer didn't check out from their review of the transaction.

just emailed them and they said i couldnt cancel the orders. id still take a point loss. kind of sucks that it takes forever.

so i need to sell some stuff, trying to avoid the old days of ebay, are people using goat or stockx the most?

Anyone get super frustrated trying to take a pic of the label inside the shoe or is it just me?

My buddy has the hardest time taking those label pictures. He constantly gets emails from Goat to retake them. I laugh...never had a problem my self. But maybe there is more room in my size 14s versus his size 9s....

Yea it's annoying but usually manageable. Will ship my first sale out to them tomorrow

I would be willing to be he's using an Android, right? I had endless problems with the Android app focusing properly for a picture. It was extremely frustrating. That, combined with the constant issues with the Android versions of the Footstore apps forced me to get an iPhone, after literally being with Android since the first phone (G1 on TMobile).

yea my samsung 6 pics dont take good pics on the app. it's goats issue though. not the phone. they still havent fixed it. all my pics are bad quality and zoomed in after i take them on the app. surprised there still isnt a fix considering how big the app is.

so....my buddy was approved to sell on Goat....he just got his first sale and now he realizes that a UPS store is pretty far away from him and he isn't able to make it to an actual store.  So my question.....can he use a UPS drop box? There is one next to his work that he wants to use.

I have sold on Goat for a while and told him not to use the drop box because there is no way for them to scan the package......but any opinions here?  I also told him to email Goat and ask but he is being lazy....

He probably can, but with the way GOAT is about getting packages sent out ASAP, I wouldn't trust using a drop box.

Drop Box should work, but you're risking the package not getting scanned within 1-3 days which will mean automatic cancellation.

Does he live near a Staples? Staples in NY, is a UPS center.

After a long hiatus I listed and sold another pair - #13. Good bye Gamma 11!

Im just a buyer. A few orders back, GOAT asked me for a pic of my credit card with the current date next to it. I obliged.

Today I got a weird email from them asking for a copy of my bank statements and other private info. Totally shady if you ask me.

Something about how my purchase patterns were throwing up red flags. (I bought 6 pairs of shoes in a 24 hr period). Shouldnt this be a credit card issue???

Some of these shoe resale sites (Flight Club) got some really annoying quirks. And in the case of GOAT, Im not even 100% sure that this isnt some scam. I emailed their help department and havent received a response.

I would hate to stop using their app. I like it a lot.
