GOAT APP legit?

I understand the reasoning but it's still annoying. 7 pics is a lot, and the angles they want to to take of them is annoying. I feel you can scratch the shoes if you're not careful taking pics from the angles they request

Bruh

You either lazy or just complaining for fun. 7 pictures off an iPhone ain't that serious. Take a minute if that.

You wanna list on NT yoh gotta take pictures too, and include a tag at that! What about eBay? Same **** plus dudes who ask for more pictures

Nah a lot of stuff I sell on eBay I use stock photos for, it's annoying and aggravating when people request pics and wind up not even buying, f that. Pics are entirely unnecessary for a Ds shoe. If it doesn't come as described in the mail file a case, end of story

With new users, GOAT doesn't want to waste time for situations where the shoe isn't DS or obviously not authentic. That's why they have you take pictures as they look for issues/defects or obvious signs of the shoe being fake before it is even sent to them.

I think they should lower the points total required for no pictures from 150 to 110-120 or so though.

Considering the million pics they make you take I'm surprised they're able to nitpick afterwards when shipped out

Fair enough but there are minor factory defects and issues that may not be noticeable (or hidden from view) on the pictures the seller is required to take. Anyways, I've sent a few shoes recently that had minor marks here and there that would have been flagged countless times before. It seems like they are either letting more stuff slide now or maybe it's just me. Not 100% sure.

My guess is that there's multiple authenticators and some are nitpicky control freaks while others are normal human beings. Annoying that it's a gamble shipping out shoes.

For people who live near a popular consignment store (like Flight Club) what are your comparisons to Goat/StockX?  Would you still choose the apps over the store?  Just wondering if these apps are hurting their business.

Flight club is doing just fine if not better then ever. These apps make it seem even more okay to spend hundreds of dollars over retail for shoes

I don't think GOAT is the nitpicker in these situations. Yes, I know technically they're reviewing the shoe... but I think GOAT is saving their ***** before it gets to the buyer for the buyer to complain and nitpick.. Let's be real here. We've all paid resale for a sneaker, how would you feel if you received it with obvious defects/glue stains, etc.. EVEN THOUGH you could of paid retail and received them like this from the manufacturer.

I live semi close to Flight Club and would rather do business on GOAT. It's just a better platform for me. Driving to flight, waiting for it to sell, getting a paper check just takes too much time even if they do sell higher there. I'm willing to take less margin if it's more convenient for me to move my shoes.

goat ia a huge company. there are bound to be issues with the amount of shoes the sell.

with that said, id still rather sell on goat then to a stranger on facebook or on ebay. much more risk involved there.
double post. Sorry.

yo these horror stories makes me not want to sell on GOAT. just got approved.
It's the lack of a phone number and their piss poor email communication that would make me hesitant.

GOAT is a great concept, I like the functionality of the app, but the operation leaves a lot to be desired. Easy stuff to fix, which is why it's so frustrating.

I'm probably going to go back to ordering from Flight Club. And if I lived near Flight Club, I'd probably never use GOAT. I love going into the actual store.

Ive had zero issues with Sole Supremecy.

Flight Club is expensive, but at least I can call them when there is a issue. For instance, they used to not ship to a address that does not match the billing address. They've since dropped that ridiculous rule.

Im just really turned off by GOAT at this point. It turns out they are not scamming me. I got responses from their help@airgoat account. They just got paranoid at the number of shoes I bought. I've spent over $14k on shoes in the last year or so. Im the kind of customer you want to take care of, not the person you want to make it a hassle for just because I bought "too many shoes in too short a period of time". So they have refunded my card, and asked me to pay via PayPal after the refund posts. What a pain in the a55.

Purchase from me, you won't have none of those issues [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

I've sold a ton of pairs without issue. Recently sold some HyperAdapts, they got denied due to 'being tried on.' I told them that Nike+ had me try them on to test the sensors before leaving the store, which is true. Apparently there was a small mark on the bottom of one of the shoes that I didn't even notice. Anyway, so they shipped them back... I had sent them well packed with bubble wrap/peanuts in a 200lb test box. They returned them in a 44lb test box with 'paper' as packaging material. I opened up the package, found scratches all over the bottom of the inner blue box and discovered when opening the box that the charging pucks weren't in place and had been thrashing around during shipping. As a result, there is now 'permanent' cosmetic damage to the charging pucks. I took the tracking number and put it into USPS to file a claim and it said that there was no insurance purchased for the package... a $2k+ pair of shoes, weighing in at 12lbs, in a 44lb 'max weight' box. I contacted GOAT and explained what happened and told them that I need to file a claim as they literally knocked hundreds off the value of my shoes. They're currently giving me the run around, though I'm considering taking legal action because this is really getting under my skin. Thankfully I took photos of the box/accessories in pristine condition before shipping them out.
I presented the facts and had the law lined up to back me in case they wanted to escalate. However, it didn't need to go that far, as GOAT ended up accepting my damage claim and fulfilled my request for financial compensation. Beef squashed.

Damn nice...So what they do? Just pay for X amount of dollars?

A simple customer support phone number and this issue never would've escalated to this point.

As has been said on this thread, GOAT does a lot of things right, and some things wrong. It's only frustrating because they are such a cool service.
