GOAT APP legit?

Used the app for the first time last week to cop some 750's. Worked perfectly for me. I don't mind their attention to detail, helps provide me with peace of mind.

I just praised GOAT and now they are getting on my nerves lol.

They really have a serious shipping issue. Shipped my package double box and all with bubble wrap and when they receive the item the shoe box has a hole on the box but shoes are in good shape.

They told me that it's the seller fault if a box comes in damage. So the box is in transit a USPS throwing the box every which a way and it's the seller fault.

They wanted me to offer a discount to the buyer which I said no and the buyer still except the shoe but if the buyer says no the shoe is either relist or the seller has to pay over $35 for the shoe to be shipped back.

Smh

Well that is pretty lame.  Since we now know that an over weight package can just be billed to Goat sounds like we all need to add some extra padding in these boxes.

what a USPS employee does with the box is out of goat's control though. what would you have goat do about it?

that is annoying though when people complain and want a discount over some little thing that doesn't even affect the shoe. like really what does it matter if the box isn't perfect. it's a box

that will only make things worse. people start doing that and goat will eventually do something about it. they're not just gonna sit there and lose money

let's run this again. sneakers delivered yesterday. still sitting with them over a day later. their buyers are super patient lol

I believe GOAT has an option to list shoes with minor defects. I guess these and the Banned's someone noted above would fall under that category. The seller can sell the shoes as DS with minor defects and include pictures so the seller knows exactly what they are getting. It's really the only option if your shoe has even minor issues that a seller may complain about if GOAT didn't note it. Not saying I agree with GOAT on everything but it is an option.

But you see the thing is, if the shoes are new the buyer doesnt get to see pics. They only get description. So you as the seller could say small mark on left toe, but when GOAT gets it it could be a small mark but it could be a black mark on a white part of the shoe. Then they may or may not send an email to the seller sayingsomething is wrong if they do then they want u to offer a discount. I dont think they email the buyer about an issue until aftrr the seller makes a response.

Anyways as a buyer you dont get to see pics of the new shoes which sucks. I want to see pics just like i can on the used shoes.

So I just sold a pair of 2016 metallic 5s size 12.. printed out a shipping label and it said 4 pounds. The sneakers themselves are practically 4 pounds. After I boxed it up and brought it to USPS for a receipt the guy said I owed an additional $18... WTF.. do I have a case for making GOAT reimburse me?

Hell nah, ask for that back. And thats their fault for shipping at 4lbs. I have a USPS/UPS drop off and ive gotten in real good with the lady since i sell so much and ship stuff that i just bring in my box and set it in the bin for pick up. The USPS lady has been there a cpl times and im in good with her a lil now too. I havent had any issues with weight of package yet.

I've had multiple packages returned to me when I used to sell through ebay. My post office must have a package nazi because if I'm off by a little bit it gets returned to me, which is why I'm extra careful. Anyway, next time I'm just going to drop it off on the counter and see what happens.

Yeah just drop it off you dont need a receipt if anything snap a pic of the box when u walk away. But if u wait then theyll just want to weigh and make sure the address is good n alll that extra

Ive sold 4x now with GOAT and after it arrives it takes like 2 days before they say the shoes were authenticated. I had a pair delivered today im expecting an email saturday. Would be nice by tomorrow (friday) butnot getting my hopes up

Another thing that sucks, is they dock you 10 points for cancelling. Thats just too much, 5 is reasonable. I get it they want to deter sellers from cancelling but man. It was my 2nd shoe and i literally justsold the shoes on NT the night before, next morning someone in GOAT buys them. I had to cancel poof already giving up 15% :smh:

Doesn't happen all the time just something little and new when it comes to GOAT. I hope eventually they will some how modify their shipping issues

Are you sure? I thought if the shoe has any noticeable defects, you can list the shoe with images. If I'm incorrect, then the seller should be sure to be very detailed with the defects. Like if it's a white shoe, they should be clarifying the mark is black. That's a pretty important detail.

Anyways, even in the case of defects, GOAT will inspect the shoe in detail. If the defect doesn't match very well with the description from the seller, they'll request the seller offers a discount or offer to have GOAT cosign it. Otherwise, you have to pay hefty return shipping costs or hope they buyer doesn't mind the defect/issue.

I wouldn't be too startled. They're very particular, but it's for the good of both buyer and seller. These issues don't occur on every single pair sold. It's just a few here and there

I can get a pair of 2003 flu games new or used by only the used come with a pic, kinda sucks but GOAT is a whole new level, NT yall are the truth

I don't get why they make you take pictures of brand new shoes, especially when they still inspect them. Guessing there is no way around this? I mean yes I understand it if they didn't inspect them but its like really?

It's very weird how picky they are right now

I've sold a ton of shoes with small factory issues that are very common and In no way my fault and they have accepted the shoes with zero issue.

Interesting, at least that is good to hear you didn't have any issues. Not like you could do anything about it.

People want pictures of new shoes? Do you ask for pictures of new shoes when you buy from foot sites? SMH

So they make sure you're sending the same shoes as pictured

You could send them fakes and make them waste time and money by sending you a label that's paid for. It's a pain in the *** but they have it not, after you have done a TON of transactions they will no longer require you to take pictures of new shoes

I understand the taking pictures for new shoes.  Its all a liability on their end they need to cover.  As a new seller you start out at a rating of 90.  Each sold pair of shoes adds 2 to that.  You need to get to a rating of 150 before taking pictures is optional.

And as for my comment about adding more padding...I was not saying adding so much you are increasing the shipped weight a ton.  I know I make sure my shoes are bubble wrapped and there is no extra movement in the box while shipping occurs.

I've thrown my **** with no padding

If they wanna complain they can send my shoes back and no I will not pay for return shipping.

Too many rules man, they have been good to me but hoping this BS doesn't happen to me in the future

I use newspapers for padding. Just stuff the bottom, sides, and top so the box can't move much. Don't really see it adding anything to the actual weight. Might be worth trying for some of you.

hell yea, I ask for 2 pairs if I'm in the store, I'm going to buy the better looking pair, why wouldn't I want a choice online

Well what i was saying about pics of new shoes is ... if youre requiring me as the seller to take the pics of NEW shoes, as the buyer I want to see the pics of the NEW shoes as well.

Its like inspecting at a shoe store before u buy them. Yeah theyll eventuallu look over the shoe when they authenti ate but id like to see what im buying before putting my money out there

Before someone argues seeing pics from online stores thats completely diff imo because the store hasnt taken a pic of each individual shoe. The seller on GOAT has already taken the pics as a requirement so why not just make it avilable for viewing

Nice just got email 10 min ago ahoes were cleared n i got the funds.

Oh and i dont pad my boxes either unless its an absurd amount of space. I wonder do they send the buyer the shoes in the same box as the seller sent.

I couldnt find a box at home so i grabbed a random bpx from my dropoff spot. Lady asled me if i knew who it was going to and i said no someone bought them from me so im just sending. She said oh theyll love this box then

Was a diaper box
