Can you guys recommend one? My girl uses PNC and I see they do it but trying to see what other options/who is the best from actual people who use it as google searches typically give results for sponsored reviews.

I currently have BOA and it gets annoying when you travel to a state that barely has them and then you get ganked just trying to get 20 bucks cash :x

Are there any that reimburse international fees too?

Why don't you just use your check card when traveling domestically and avoid the ATM altogether?

(or just withdraw the cash you need before you travel)

credit unions will wave the fees.

i hate that i have Wells Fargo and traveling getting hit with a $5 fee plus whatever the ATM charges. :smh:

There a cash only mom and pop shops in many major cities, and I prefer not to carry cash with me in general. I use my Amex like cash (fraud protection and points system) so its annoying when you hit up cash only spots.

You can get an e trade max checking account but they require you deposit $200 a month or keep $5k in there but they refund atm fees.

On the east coast I noticed there are Way more Wells Fargos especially in the South because of them buying Wachovia, so even around my crib there are a ton of Wells Fargos and a few BOAs, while when I was in LA there were BOAs everywhere, but a city like New Orleans I dont think I could find one in the whole city.

Everytime this question comes up I always recommend the Charles Schwab High Yield Investor Checking Account. You have to open a linked Schwab brokerage account with it but there's no minimum deposit or balance necessary for either account.

Monthly rebates on all ATM fees foreign and abroad. No foreign transaction fees.

Best customer service I've dealt with in any service industry.

Can up your daily withdrawal limit to $5,000 for 24 hours with one phone call.

No way I could ever look back to a retail bank.

yeah, living in Atlanta has it perks as a WF customer. if i cant find a branch/ATM, ill look up a QuikTrip and stop there. also most if not all of the ATMs at Hartsfield are WF.

yeah, I`m keeping my BOA mainly because I have had it since HS, but def need a better Alternative. I`m probably going to just keep it open and deposit the min amount needed to avoid fees/ or just deposit my Cell Phone and Car Insurance bill money into it and use it to pay that each month.

Nope. Could leave the balance at $0 forever or you could even use it as an alternate account for savings if you wanted.

You can instantly transfer cash between the two accounts.

Forgot to mention it's not just ATM fee reimbursements, there's no fees of any kind. Account is 100% free.

how is the application process, I just did a quick google search and saw someone complaining so not sure if that was a one off situation or what.

I just applied online forget if I was approved instantly but if not it wasn't more than a day or two.

Just a standard checking account application process.

this would help when going to the strip club and you dont got cash on you and have to use their atm

I would go this route

As another option, Alliant Credit Union also refunds $20 a month of ATM fees

I am the opposite. Using my bank card is usually my LAST choice when I am away from home

A. Cash

B. Credit

C. Debit (When needed)

I Dont carry cash for security purposes, and I never use my debit card unless its a situation where AMEX isn't accepted.

Withdraw cash before your trip or bank with CHASE or BoA.. any other bank you're playing yourself
