Bed and Breakfast vs Hotel?

I've traditionally always went with hotels but I figured that a Bed and Breakfast might be more....intimate? Charming? IDK.

BNBs are usually like a house or something, it just feels odd staying in someone's crib . Some nice ones though where we're headed (Sedona) and I'm thinking about booking one.

Any NTers have any experience with BNBs? Pros/Cons? Or should I just go with a hotel?

I did it once. Do it for the experience, the authenticity I guess, being in the city center and/or around other travelers if you want, but you generally don't save money anymore. I did one in Harlem. I'd also recommend renting the whole house/whole apartment listings and not sharing with a bunch of strangers but again, different experience when it's frat house style and you can talk to other people if that's what you want. I stayed at the Comfort Stay in Harlem with Regine Asaba as my host
