Chicago Expecting Holiday "Blood Bath"

Why are we acting like all immigrants are successful or even that a larger percentage of them are more successful than blacks.

Your comparing inmigrants that made it to black people in the hood....

They hate black people and look to speak down on blacks in a paternalistic manner as though they're superior. Bunch of wannabe white supremacists. The funny thing is that they be the same ones that talk down on blacks but co-op black culture because their own cultures are lame. These cats be in my hood wearing Dreds, cornrows, wearing wave caps to get waves, wearing Jordans etc, but look down on black people [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]. It's the funniest ish. I laugh at them. Most of the folks in the projects in my community aren't black...

I think it's propaganda because in Chicago like most place see's an increase in violence when the termperature increases and this past winter was extremely mild we never had to get out a shovel. So the winter was a lot warmer then usual therefore you see the murder/violent crime rate increase.

You'll be ok, you will be in between North Lawndale (heart of the west side and the poor neighborhood in the city) and Little Village ( The park is on the boarder line between the Latin Kings and Satin Disciples). Gun violence in Chicago is heavily calculated not random as everyone thinks it is. Take an urber have a great time, WE NEED MORE PEOPLE VISITING THESE NEIGHBORHOODS.

Yeah a lot have great parents but people don't understand the outside factors. 

1.) The city literally does not have a budget right now: No money to help subsidize housing. we have closed 53 public schools. 1/3 of all the non-profits have closed down because of the government shut down. The closed Chicago State on the south side with a huge black population. They are closing Northeastern which has the highest amount of immigrant students in the state. Land lords are kicking tenants out because they havn't received their subsidy. You have mental health agencies closing their doors forcing those with mental illness to go without services. Youth outreach organizations having to shut their doors and in doing so closing safe spaces for young people. 

2.) Our city is corrupt and Racist. Our last three governors are in prison and our current administration does more of the same. A probation officer I work with was talking to a cop and asking why havn't they made more arrests in the Little Village neighborhood and the cop said "we have to force the crime rate up so the alderman won't be reelected" our Mayor Rahm Emanuel ordered that.

As it pertains to the immigrant vs. African American argument I feel the groups are not close at all. When you go into a immigrant community the majority of the buy in is CULTURE: Language, FOOD, music, clothing and you can create a space that where immigrants, first, second, third generation can always come to as they are reminded of the culture if they have assimilated. But African Americans were stripped of their ethnic culture. They were placed together with different dialects so they couldn't communicate and their food, music, closing and language was destroyed. You don't have a whole immigrant group that will always eat and shop at your stores to remind them of the past. In any immigrant community the majority of people running those shops are of that specific ethnicity, but not in African - American neighborhoods you have Middle Eastern and Asian store owners. Because it is far easier to duplicate African - American culture because it is American.

Man as messed up as chicago is and as big as of a site NT is theres gotta be someone from or in the Chi that has some kind of story or knowledge to drop about everyday issues.


What ever happened to thag movie that ghettofolkvision was supposed to be doin on that lil kid cookie or whatever.

I figured statistics are used to scare the population. Growing up in that environment you know gun violence is pre meditated for the most part. I was thinking of staying at the congress and taking the rail down to the venue but my gfs father has terrified her. We're just ubering to the venue and back. Might still check out the lagunitas taproom if the area doesn't feel completely sketchy.
 
**** can go down anywhere in Chicago. Most places if you mind your own business and be aware of your surroundings you'll be totally fine, even at night
 
The kids in Chicago ain't listening to none of the help from the activist screaming stop the gun violence. They relish in the fact that they run these neighborhoods. They post videos shooting at each other and running each other off of their blocks. They call themselves savages. All these fools care about are imaginary stipes and street cred. They proud of the war they create in the streets and even try to capitalize off of the violence by becoming drill rappers (which im sure some of you will say has NOTHING to do with any of the violence in Chicago...yeah ok).

I'm starting to feel like message received. They dont want help. They wanna keep doing what they are doing at the risk of the majority of the communtiy.

It's almost like the slaves and slave master relationship. At any time the slaves could band together and out of sheer numbers overpower their slave masters and change their situation. But many in the community are paralyzed by fear.

I guess one day the majority will rise up and stop letting the young idiots run the city mad and take it back.

Until then, Im starting not to care anymore. F Chicago and ALL of the savages that live there.

So tired of this narrative. Chicago was way worse in the 70's when the projects were up and their was no such thing as "drill rap"

that would imply spin.....ppl not getting killed in NYC da way they getting slaughtered in Chicago, and NYC still has ALL its project public housing that da windy city used as a scape goat for da violence & tore em down...
 
Government is doing a ****** job alongside with public services AND the black and Hispanic youth are ******* up. Both sides are at fault. The only people I feel sorry for is those that have parents who are OGs and feel their kids have to carry it on. For the others, there's no excuse. I grew up with plenty of dudes with ****** up households and they made it out, even though they faced BS every now and then. It's all about staying focused and not trying to be cool and giving in to foolishness surrounding you.

U think all the murders and other crimes are reported in NYC ? NYPD is the biggest and most corrupt gang in the country two totally different situations.
