Warriors in 5...maybe 6.

The Cavs can't replicate what the Thunder were doing in the playoffs defensively.

As long as Steph and Klay continue to make absurd 3's at a crazy efficient rate, the cavs have no chance.

They really are on a ultralight beam. 2nd of 3 straight rings.

It doesn't take a killer defense to stop one of the greatest offensive teams ever? Yikes

It all comes down to late in the game how Cleveland plays the pick and roll on Defense.

If Cleveland switches everything like OKC did then forget it. Curry will eat up any big that Cleveland puts on him in a 1 on 1 situation and thus you are in a lose-lose situation.

Id rather take my chances and trap him like last year and see if Iggy and/or Barnes can hit those wide open perimeter shots like last year.

Warriors in 5.

I dont think anybody wants to replicate the OKC choke  I'm picking Gs in 7 but hope the Cavvies win ....

^^Yes I remember Cleveland did a lot of trapping last yr. Way more trapping than okc did this past series. It was a sound strategy for Cleveland all the way up until GS decided to play small exclusively.

if cavs replicate their defense which i doubt they will, they will be put into REALLY good position to win it, but they have no ibaka or roberson to guard perimeter, but they do have TT who is just as agressive as adams on the boards

still can't believe OKC choked so bad...all this talk about how great durant and westbrook are...never bought it from day 1...what pisses me off about all this is we didn't get to see a spurs vs. gsw match up...still upset my spurs didn't beat OKC after such a blow out in game 1...

but this series comes down to how CAVS respond to GSW runs...

GSW will score 15 pts in 4 minutes many times throughout the series...if cavs start barking at each other and have bad body language, this series will be over quick...if lebron starts making his whiny face and wailing his arms every time clay hits a three over JR smith...it will be over quick as well..

bottom line is cavs have proven to be front runners..when they up they best friends...when they are down they start *****ing at each other....

the way they respond to GSW's runs will be the ultimate factor in this series.

Roberson aint really that good on Defense IMO

Roberson was actually very good on defense. I mean you're not exactly going to negate players like Klay and Steph the way they shoot the ball.

Donovan wasnt exactly giving him those minutes to help provide on offense :x

right...that kid cost them the series....game 7 and 6 klay thompson cooked that dude...roberson is the main reason they lost.
no... roberson didnt guard klay in the 4th quarter of game 6 due to foul trouble, in game 7 he made start out 0-7 and almost all of klays spurts where he hit multiple 3s he wasnt guarded by roberson

lol there multiple possessions where klay tried to drive on roberson and he made him pick up his dribble, and locked him up where he couldnt even touch the ball

robertson would easily be the best perimeter defender on the cavs
Easily.

His random cutting / dives as well as his defense was a huge reason why OKC was able to go up 3-1 in the first place. Without a doubt one of the top 5 best and most talented wing defenders in the league. Really competes on that end.

Unfortunately, he has a major flaw and it's not being able to command respect on the other end of the floor which killed them down the stretch last night.

Also, the amount of communication it takes to defend GSW goes beyond Roberson, it extends team-wide, and has to be done for 48 minutes over a span of 4 to 7 games. Just not feasible to believe any team is going to beat that.

You're not gonna stop Klay or Curry with one guy. They run off too many screens, too much misdirections/cuts. It's about team defense and communication. Roberson did what he could but it's not a one person job.
