What adjustments can be made for Irvin's defense other than taking him out of the game? His size isn't going to change overnight and neither will his defensive abilities

You can't hide him anywhere even Barnes would torch him

this! never before have i seen barnes want the ball as badly as he did yesterday when Myrie was on him.

I really don't care what Lebron's record in the finals is. 6 straight is six straight, and with some of the team's he's had over the year's it's even more miraculous given the bums he carries.

I expect him to be more aggressive (i.e. run people over) on Sunday and less distributor focused.

This dude has probably played with more hall of famers than any other player in the last decade.

his first few times carrying the Cavs to the finals, definitely were some bums. however, his MIA and current Cavs runs are obviously a different tale.

@PMatic Perry Jones the 3rd! That should be the Warriors primary target this offseason. Elite size, 6'10 or so with 7'3 wingspan, runs/jump out the building, has shot 40% from 3 when Brooks had him playing the 2, has successfully defended LeBron James, probably guarded KD a lot in practice, plays/defends any position (particularly as a backup). I'd let Speights walk and bring PJ3 in for thr absolute minimum
This. I'm surprised more teams haven't gone after him.
he got cut from Iowa in the d league

Every Cavs team.

I'm taking about the Finals runs, he's not taking bums to the Finals every year. He's been the favorite to come out of the east maybe every year except 2008 after that 07 run.

shoe King, your thoughts on Irvings size reminded me of the whole deandre Jordan free throw talk

Don't let these guys off the hook man

Wake me when Mo Williams gets the nod or Larry Hughes?

I'm not talking about his Miami appearances,

Who were his Cav hall of fame teammates?

fair enough, i misread what you meant.

my point on him is, he does a lot with some of the folks he's played with (whether he picked them or not).

Lebron been coasting all season for the finals. Y'all gonna learn this year.

You're gonna keep making excuses for his failures.

Stages of Denial in the Finals for Cavs Fans...

Stage 1: LeBron gonna make mince meat out of the Dubs. He has a better team. Myrie over Curry all day!!! All he does is shoot threes!!! Can he dunk bro???

Stage 2 (after first loss): It's okay, Warriors did what they were supposed to do. We got this going home.

Stage 3 (Dubs up 3-1 or 3-2): Warriors haven't seen Game 6 Lebron just you watch!!!!!

Stage 4 (Dubs win series): Kyrie and Love suck. LeBron needs more help.

Are we already at Stage 4???

This is the conundrum, you can't really afford to bench him cause you lose too much on offense, I think. Even though he doesn't create anything for others on offense. But he's got the bullseye on his back and they'll continue to attack him, so if he's getting you 25-30, but giving up 30-40. He's hurting you more than helping.

do name some of said bums over the 6 straight finals appearances..

Perry Jones III is nice. He was projected in top 10. The question is how are his knees? That's the reason why teams didn't go after him after a scout stating Jones's knees will hold up for 3-4 years.
idk if he blew his knees out in tbe d league but I did see a tweet the other day he made of himself jumping on a vertec looked to be over 40 and caption wa something like "not bad for my first time jumping in 7 months " which didn't add up because he was in the league more recent than that so idk how he claims he hasn't jumped. He has extreme motor issues too. I don't know how you keep bim motic

If we're going to downplay lebrons number of finals appearances because he plays in the east, what the hell does that say about all the other stars in the east?

Got damn

I'm not gonna lie i know how small of a detail this is...but based off Steph curry Warmup alone i could tell that he has ZERO DOUBT thw W's are gonna take this... Son was throwing the ball up and trying to smack it into the basket from 3. On the other side of things Bron had the serious face on all night, no celebrating, no dancing, no smirks it was all 100% stoneface, after watching him for years in these playoffs i could already tell the doubt has sank in and this one is ending in 5 max.

Unless the Refs start giving him those BS calls all the time. He was driving to the basket looking to be saved last night and the refs weren't giving him that BS.

if we are being real he carried one team of bums to the finals and they havent been a part of the six straight finals squads. 07  was the only time hes carried bums. all his other teams have been great to solid from 2011-2016

the reality is that Lebron is just that much better than any player in the east. I can't think of any player or whole team in the east that has been able to slow down Lebron on any sort of consistent basis. he made a great choice staying in that conference.

He made one finals with that Cavs squad... he has made 6 in the past 6 years and they have been littered with HOF/ AS talent all over. And yet people still wanna say he lost to a better team, when your being considered to be a top 5 player of all time along with a good supporting cast... your presence should be enough to make YOUR team the better team.
