Is there anyone in history you could replace Lebron with that would make them a favorite over the Warriors?

06, 08-10 kobe

86, 91 mike

87 magic

00 shaq

Maybe maybe not favorites, but damn close. and a higher probability of winning in my opinion.

Shaq would fall like he did into that Christmas tree trying to switch out on young Steph

did they put shaq in the pic and roll d back then? I feel like they would avoid it. Let bogut go out there and just let a smaller guy switch on him and leave shaq around the paint. the ball wont go back to bogut and even if it does, he cant shoot, then you have a smaller, speedier guy on steph and if he decides to drive, boom, diesel is there waiting for him.

What if Speights is on the court?

One thing i've noticed with underdogs beating favorites in NBA Finals is that it's usually the Eastern conference team that ends up with the upset.

I guess if we're using this logic, Clev does have a fighting chance

Because NONE of those guys would make this Cavs team the favorites over this current defending champion NBA record setting 73-9 team. Not sure what part of that don't you get.

Again, you did not understand his question. If you think it'll make the team more "favorable" than that's fine but dude asked what player would've made this Cavs team THE favorites if you replace Lebron with.

okay let me rephrase if young mike or young kobe was on the team the cavs would be the favorites to win.

Can someone do me a favor and post the cavs playoff record compared to the warriors this year, lebron/Kyrie/love's playoff stats vs curry/klay/dray and average margin of victory? Thanks.

I really don't

[I always forget how fast the NBA thread moves man, It is like a chat box in here.

I guess that is why I come here every few weeks.

Plus I get pissed at the player blaming

u always come off as a very angry young man/woman in NT. are you the same way IRL?

Thread full of trolls. As much as Lebron is a **** boy I'm not ready to bet against him and a fully healthy and resorted squad. Lebron singlehandedly won 2 games against the Warriors in last years finals ANDDD the dubs just came off of a grueling 7 game series that they barely won...

Lakers lost 2008

Yeah, and they were the favorites that year.

We were? even with the big 3 and boston cooking? Had to be 1 point favorites. I thought it was pretty even.

Kobe was the x factor that put us over the edge I'm guessing? Because Boston was rolling the whole season.

As a Laker fan, I dug that team so much. I loved the vibe. Even with f boy ray allen on there

Honestly since he choked horribly in 2010 he hasn't had a Finals where he didn't step it up another notch individually.

I don't think anyone here is trolling with their opinion.  To be honest, I feel less confident in the Warriors now after they got pretty lucky that OKC pissed that series away.  There seems to be a clear blueprint out there for how to beat them, it just doesn't seem like the Cavs have the personnel to fit that blueprint.

I didn't believe it either. That one stuck out to me and I had to recheck that I was reading it correctly

I guess the Lakers size and Kobe is what gave them the edge. Plus the inexperience in Finals play from the Celtics.

NOTHING in this world in indestructible. There's a weak point in EVERY system. It's a just a matter of the possibility of executing what's needed to destruct.

Like I said, I think a prime shaq would be pretty interesting.  Do I know if they would win, not a damn clue.  Pretty hard to argue a hypothetical that couldn't ever possibly happen.

All I know is, this Warriors team isn't as unbeatable as everyone thought they were so I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland at least makes this series interesting.

The Thunder were -160 favorites over the Heat in 2012?? Wow

That's crazy.

I guess because of how they smashed the Spurs and that the Heatles lost in the Finals the year before/hadn't hit their peak yet.
