We were? even with the big 3 and boston cooking? Had to be 1 point favorites. I thought it was pretty even.

Kobe was the x factor that put us over the edge I'm guessing? Because Boston was rolling the whole season.

As a Laker fan, I dug that team so much. I loved the vibe. Even with f boy ray allen on there

I didn't believe it either. That one stuck out to me and I had to recheck that I was reading it correctly

I guess the Lakers size and Kobe is what gave them the edge. Plus the inexperience in Finals play from the Celtics.

Tell me we were the favorites in 2010 though :smokin

i know the series went down to the wire in a g7 but i still don't believe the lakers were the better team lol. but i guess that's what happens when you have the best player in a series :pimp:

Like I said, I think a prime shaq would be pretty interesting.  Do I know if they would win, not a damn clue.  Pretty hard to argue a hypothetical that couldn't ever possibly happen.

All I know is, this Warriors team isn't as unbeatable as everyone thought they were so I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland at least makes this series interesting.

I think it'd be foolish to think this year Warriors team is unbeatable. I mean they did lose 9 games in the regular season

As I've said before. Nothing is indestructible and everything has a weak point. Also, basketball is a game of match ups. OKC just matched up VERY well against the Warriors. This was even evident in the regular season as well.

That's crazy.

I guess because of how they smashed the Spurs and that the Heatles lost in the Finals the year before/hadn't hit their peak yet.

Wasn't so surprised with this one. Thunder were the team "Up next" in the NBA. They were slated to eventually win and many people thought getting over the Spurs that year is what got them over the "hump". Ironically, the same narrative was being told this year as well

Yes, the Lakers were the faves in 2010

Lakers -180
Celtics +160

Thread full of trolls. As much as Lebron is a **** boy I'm not ready to bet against him and a fully healthy and resorted squad. Lebron singlehandedly won 2 games against the Warriors in last years finals ANDDD the dubs just came off of a grueling 7 game series that they barely won...
tell em @DCAllAmerican

There isn't anybody in the past, present, or near future who could answer to prime Shaq.

This. Prime Shaq was like Gallactus. Like Vigo from Ghostbusters. He was unstoppable physical specimen before bron. And he was decently light on his feet also.

thanks!
what site/database did you get them odds at? was trying to find them.

that okc/mia was a "close" 4-1

Lakers had home court advantage and was the best team in the NBA that year. Not to mention, they won the previous year against Orlando. Easy to see how they were favored.

I don't think anyone here is trolling with their opinion.  To be honest, I feel less confident in the Warriors now after they got pretty lucky that OKC pissed that series away.  There seems to be a clear blueprint out there for how to beat them, it just doesn't seem like the Cavs have the personnel to fit that blueprint.

OKC did not piss the series away. They simply lost 3 games to GSW towards the end. I would say KD putting up 40 and Westbrook 30 is chocking. People need to give the Warriors some credit for that series. They played great defense and got their offense clicking. OKC played hard every game. Only reason OKC "resorted" to old ways is because they had no other option.

and then the thunder came out and took GM1 against the HEAT. Bruh the hot takes were scortching. I was talking helllllla ****. And then how OKC almost went up 2 if bron didnt get away with that blatant *** foul at the end of game 2. Smh. Would've changed everything.

I vaguely remember that series, but I do remember that foul in the end of game 2 and I remember Harden pulling a Harry Houdini

The fact that Thunder were at -160 though. Considering how young an inexperienced the Thunder were. Russ/KD/Harden were like 23/24 years old. Throw hindsight out the window and I still would have told you the Heat were inevitably gonna get at least 1 after they choked in 2010. -160 way too high and i'd still argue they should have been dogs.
