If Harden woulda at least HALF way showed up in that Finals then they woulda prob won that series. I actually think this years Thunder team was better than that one tho...

The fact that Thunder were at -160 though. Considering how young an inexperienced the Thunder were. Russ/KD/Harden were like 23/24 years old. Throw hindsight out the window and I still would have told you the Heat were inevitably gonna get at least 1 after they choked in 2010.

I remember picking the Heat to win that series, but only because of OKC's inexperience and The Heatles not losing again and with home court.

thanks!
what site/database did you get them odds at? was trying to find them.

surprised bron's been an underdog for a lot of them series

i know the series went down to the wire in a g7 but i still don't believe the lakers were the better team lol. but i guess that's what happens when you have the best player in a series :pimp:

Lakers had home court advantage and was the best team in the NBA that year. Not to mention, they won the previous year against Orlando. Easy to see how they were favored.

no i realize why they were favored. im talking about the end result famb.

that g7 was such a ugly nail biter. i remember running home from work and looking at my flip phone and refreshing the espn scoreboard
got home for the final mins :x

This year team is far better than the 2012 team. More depth, speed, size, talent and...coaching

Moot point now, but I sincerely believe the Celtics would've had it if Perkins was on the floor.

Evidently, it was the Lakers size that won them that series. Not to mention getting into the bonus with 8 mins left in the 4th

I think we can all agree that we're annoyed with @DCAllAmerican at this point

He/She does seem angry/upset

Just stop blaming people 2 Cold......
there are a bunch of people who make up this thread but you're the one to blame for it being in shambles right now

weren't the warriors underdogs last year? I remember the narrative being that jump shooting teams dont win. And it was their first time. and no experience something something. And that you have to lose to win or some bs. And it was Lebron's year yada yada. I remember a lot of greats were picking the cavs heading into the finals and that was with Love down.

Eveyone loves to bring up the past..how about that 2014 finals appearance?

Present is present. How people played back then isn't relevant to how they play now. This Warriors team is way better than last year. LeBron is older, team is weaker.

Don't feel like combing through previous threads, but the Warriors were favored last year

Stephen A Smith and Skip picked the Cavs. That's a lock for the Warriors and enough for me

You got Barkley picking them also. All of those dudes have a history of being good at picking the losing team

home court and the fact that cavs were without love for the finals. i'm sure the odds jumped after g2 when kyrie went down, and dropped again when cavs took a 2-1 lead

oh damn. Maybe everybody was just as delusional with how they saw bron as they are now. Even though he's gotten worse.

and then the thunder came out and took GM1 against the HEAT. Bruh the hot takes were scortching. I was talking helllllla ****. And then how OKC almost went up 2 if bron didnt get away with that blatant *** foul at the end of game 2. Smh. Would've changed everything.

Talk about excuses...smh

Yea it seemed like everybody was picking the cavs last year, I think magic had it pegged also. It was hilarious. I picked the dubs for the chip right after new years. paid off for me crazy.

Barkley is ridiculous to me. He's been the game his entire life, probably enough to cover 2 lifetimes and he still picks the Cavs over the Warriors. Only because he's so strong on his stance that "Jump shooting teams don't win". Had he never harped on that stupid sentiment, people wouldn't have called him out on that BS.

Now he HAS to stick to it and pick against the Warriors

He's not an analytics guy by any stretch of the imagination, but I fathom he has to know that there will always be an outlier to every rule. The Warriors are the damn exception.

& b/c you're also a Warriors fan. That's my best guess why you're picking them.

Mannnnn

If I was a betting man and didn't have such convictions against gambling...

Thread full of trolls. As much as Lebron is a **** boy I'm not ready to bet against him and a fully healthy and resorted squad. Lebron singlehandedly won 2 games against the Warriors in last years finals ANDDD the dubs just came off of a grueling 7 game series that they barely won...

No one singlehandedly wins games in the NBA. /DC

There isn't one single player that you can replace LeBron with and become the favorite in this series. But that's just a testament to how good the warriors are...Not how great LeBron is. And if you're going to hypothesize like that you also have to account for style of play. The Cavs benefit in some ways from a Jordan/Kobe because they don't need an open lane at all times and can shoot. They may not pass as much but still open up looks with their scoring prowess from multiple levels on the floor. In any case, like I have said previously these arguments occur entirely because of hyperbole that's used. Fans consistently credit Bron for dragging the team by himself, yet blame the team when he doesn't come through. Haters consistently credit Bron for not coming through in the clutch, yet completely ignore the benefits he brings to his teams. Being that great is already polarizing but the way he's seemingly handled with kid gloves doesn't make it any better for either side

I'm telling you bro. Yall need to follow my lead with these bets and predictions. I'm like a savant at this stuff. Make some of this money.

Yes, been picking them every year.

BUT, I literally was watching them this season and saying to myself, "I don't know how anyone can beat them". I was shocked OKC went up 3-1.

This team is GOOD. They have great chemistry, unlike the Cavs. Everyone clicks, everyone contributes, everyone wants to win, everyone is having fun. They are coming off a historical season and want to prove a point, especially to the people who didn't give them credit for winning it last year. Cavs wanna prove a point, but are they that much better than last year? Nope. You see how they can lose when 2 players drop 30+ on them (Toronto) and Warriors can provide that.

Their heart and will is easily going to be the reason they are going to win the series. Stats are worthless. Bron will be Bron. He doesn't care if he wins or loses IMO. He will still consider himself the greatest and move on, he doesn't care.

@DCAllAmerican is just explaining his position and asking those opposed to explain theirs, nothing wrong with that

too many dudes on here sign up for a disscussion board and have no idea how disscussion works.
