Moved some posts where they belong, in here: http://niketalk.com/t/301166/cavs-h...rs-unification-thread-back-2-back-hate-champs

For some of you, it really is better off for the thread if you just discuss the Lebron that you either love or hate in either the Appreciation or Hater thread.

Literally, you don't know how to discuss him without allowing that discussion to dominate.

"Well I just can't allow people to say the things they say about him!"

Yeah, you can. And you need to.

Please and thanks.

The Warriors run a million screens on and off the ball literally every single possession to incite confusion & chaos. OKC's guards & wings did an AMAZING job of staying in Steph/Klay's jersey & fighting around those screens & not allowing GSW to force one of the Thunder's big to switch onto to Klay & Steph. They were very disciplined 99% of the time.

But that 1% . Steph's 3rd quarter eruption in G2 happened largely because Kerr kept running all kinds of screen action for him: curls, pindowns, pnr. Russ//KD weren't fighting over the screens & just handed Steph off to Ibaka/Adams and they couldn't keep up. Steph's now has tons of space & hit every single three in that stretch to blow it open.

When you just switch everything against this team that's what happens.

Then in G7, Steph & Klay went 8-8 for 23 points on Adams, 6/6 from 3. Surgical. 14 of the Warriors 17 threes came on Ibaka, Adams, & Kanter. On all of those 14 you'll see Russ/Roberson/KD either getting caught up on a screen, forcing the switch or just lazily passing Klay/Steph to the big.

Kyrie & JR are gonna get a lot of mins and I just don't think they're gonna consistently do the dirty work & bump grab shove & fight over these screens. I certainly trust them less than Roberson & Westbrook.

CLE's best lineup is probably gonna be Kyrie/Delly/Shump/Bron/TT, but you can't run that for the whole 48. Frye, JR, Love are gonna get mins too & I don't trust them defensively. Moz gave them great mins last year but he looks like a shell of himself.

You also saw Enes Kanter get his mins substantially reduced in this series because he couldn't keep up with what GSW was doing in the halfcourt. He was awful in any situation involving a screen & Donovan couldn't trust him.

I think Kevin Love will suffer the same fate. Lue has already shown that he isn't afraid to bench him for an entire 4th quarter & I think he'll restrict Love's mins even further in this series.

But then Frye isn't any better so what you'll have is Bron/TT getting 40+ mins & exhausted as the series goes on.

All that to say Warriors in 5.

great post

i think a big reason was that okc had length and strength to bother and lock up livingston's post game and mid-range game. waiters is hella underrated in his D and post D. dude should just switch up his game lol

I think his legs looked tired...maybe that dunk will have him going right in the finals.

Need a lot of production by our bench at home, be it Speights (no missed lay ups/dunks, please), Barbosa, Livingston, hell even Barnes....best part is this core has been here in this moment before, and in the same places so they know what to expect.

Don't even.

I'm both a critic and a fan of Bron.

You are ONLY one.

#stahpit

No literally you said, Lebron hater (me) said that EVERYONE was talking about Tristan's deal and Delly. Where was that said? I specifically said a sizeable contingent on here and elsewhere were still picking CLE after those circumstances.

Cleveland's game plan has to be going well in order for Love to get into a groove. With two dominate ball handlers in Kyrie and Lebby on the team, as long as they run their offense, Love will get his touches. Now, who's guarding him will determine how effective he will be. Best bet would be to play the post or close to it, step too far out and it's not going to be good, especially if he's one of the big men on the floor which he usually is.

Except it didn't come out until after they lost 3 straight. When they were up 2-1, that wasn't the narrative. Steph was getting "locked up by Delly" and Bron was doing whatever he wanted, Tristan Thompson was "earning" a max deal with his defense and rebounding, and Mosgov was beasting. Wasn't until after that the help thing came up, as it does every single time Bron loses, as it definitely will for sure happen this time as well.

Only idiots were saying that. Once Kyrie went down, it was an uphill battle for them. Them being up 2-1 was only slowing down the inevitable. I don't think ANY Warrior fan was worried when we were down 2-1 to that team. Those "role" players could only hold it down for so long until they go back to playing like what they really are. Hell, even y'all haters knew damn well Bron was in trouble not having 2 of the big 3 in that series. If anything it was probably one of you troll haters doing the lame "reverse i'm really a fan of Lebron" saying that garbage.

I did literally say that Lebby haters were bigging up role players.

I did not literally call you a Lebby hater.

What's that got to do with the Finals, though? You're making this about your hater agenda, and there's a nice thread for that. You don't have to hear this foolishness about people being injured last Finals. :D

"Well I just can't allow people to say the things they say about him!"

Yeah, you can. And you need to.

Please and thanks.

 The gymnastics Lebron haters go through to slander him. Lebron gives you plenty of material on his own - not sure why people get extra with it.

Everybody was shocked when Cleveland went up 2-1 last year. That Cleveland team emptied the tank. Nobody thought Cleveland was in complete control lead by Lebron and Delly. Some of y'all gotta put that hater **** aside sometimes.

I really think Kevin Love will be xfactor in this series. Lebron and Kyrie will be themselves but Love doesn't always show up. He has to show up on offense for them to keep up with GS.

Love does play an X-factor role in this series cause we are never really sure which Love will show up to contribute to the teams success. Will it be the Love people thought was a superstar or the Love that I think he is which is just a very good role-player, which isn't a bad thing really but they will need him to contribute much more considering he's one of the go to options on their squad. Lue and them have to figure out a way to get his game to travel on the road.

I think Lue has done all he can. Since he took over they play at a faster pace, the ball moves more, they don't just stand around and watch Lebron and Kyrie anymore. Love gets his touches. He just gotta make 'em.

Guys

Let's take the "Lebron needs more help" type slander and reminiscing on last year's hate-fest that was the 2015 NBA finals to the haters thread

I wish I could see the thread to bring up the quotes but whatever. Some of those same "idiots" picking the Cavs to win again this time *Ye shrug*

great post

:pimp:

There are a lot of guys on here that KNOW the game of basketball I'm interested to see if anyone can substantially make a case on how the Cavs win the series.....

I'm on board with size down have Bron run Point-Center but what to do on defense is another story.
Again Ska. You're making assumptions based on what I was explaining. I didn't trick my mind into anything, I'm just telling you how it went down on here. I know they were short handed, especially after game 1. I didn't care, nor care to hear Bron needed more help when there were still people on here and elsewhere picking CLE to win that series, even after Kyrie went down, and especially after they went up 2-1. Initially picked GS in 5 last year before the series, and after they went down 2-1 said they'd win the next 3 games.
No lie, I completely missed this, MVP MVP .

My bad.

Slightly changes things.

Slightly.

I'm too preoccupied right NOW to look into whether or not you said said those things back then, but I know that right now, if someone can't acknowledge that the Cavs were pitifully outmanned, even despite a deceptive 2-1 lead, that's Hater Vision.

LOL no, not just on NT where this happened. Basketball "experts" and media were all riding the king. Even though kyrie and love were out, cle was still too physical, too tall, too dominate for GS to handle. Then game 4 5 and 6 happened.

And lets move on.  Who guards Steph and Klay game 1?

This thread  ..Bron haters.. GS haters .. Jus wanna see some good ball being played. Im neutral with this one. I will say that Id give up 2pts before 3. I see alot of people all season and post season long worried about the dude setting them moving screens(and a rack of them illegal) getting the rock.."misdirection"..and thats what GS does well..making people think its gonna be a basic pick and roll..next thing you know..you got them fools pullin up..Bangin in the 3 ball. Im a fan of the game..and love seeing that rock move..GS and SA the the best at it..damn near poetry in motion

This is true Lue is clearly a much better coach than that cardboard cutout they had on the sideline last year.

Remember the old rumor in the summer of 2014. Klay Thompson for Kevin Love. Now both are going to face each other in the NBA Finals. It's gonna be entertaining.
