Want to start a new my career probably a PF or C, which archetype y'all thing is the best?

I was thinkin post scorer or glass cleaner.

But dude gonna be slow lol

Do you think your MyPlayer experience would have more longevity and be a better experience if you actually played the game like a real basketball game and not like a fantasy basketball video game?

Like if you played the way YOU literally played basketball

What you mean exactly ?? Sorry it's s weird question for me, cause I went with the build that most closely resmbles how I play in real life. You talking to the people that pick other builds just because they will have better stats?

First year in a long time that I might stay with the team that drafted me.

81 ovr, putting up like 15/4/9. I never liked going out there & shooting 30 times. Averaging 40+ pts isn't fun to me.

I actually do try to play closer to the style I did when I played, but they tout you as the next big thing. The ideal MyCareer for me would be if they combined certain elements from past games. Bring back draft combine, summer league and D league combine it with this years college games and off days system. I also wouldn't mind if they toned down the narrative and had a better news feed. Teammate AI seems smarter this year for the first time in like forever which is a big step.

If it wasn't for mypark/Pro-am I would take Mycareer more serious and not like a fantasy game.

I do it for the badges and that it as if now I don't care for it much really

Y'all utilize every practice gym session to get your Doin' Work meter up?

so when you go to practice....you can skip the workout, then walk to the weight room. go to the back, to the vertical machine, jump three times. do it again. now your doin work meter is filled. do this every time.

thank me.

definitely trynna run with anybody making bigs

tired of guarding the post with either my stretch 4 or my playmaking 3.

You can only do this one per practice session from what I've noticed.

The agility ladder and bench press (if you're not by yourself) is much faster imo.

also, someone asked, i got drafted by the celtics at 3 both times.....stretch 4 (7') and playmaking 3 (6'8")

i just KNEW my SF was going to go #1, he averaged like 35 in college.....but he went 3.

i was convinced that was the highest you could go, until....

i HEARD of someone going #1, but he bought VC so his overall was higher than ben simmons, so i think that's the only way you go over him....if you have enough VC to raise his overall.

why is the coach starting Markeiif Morris over Jabari in my Career.  Henson barely sees the floor but Morris is getting big minutes

I had a nice groove going with Bari and Justice

no.

you can do it as much as you want, if you get gold both times, your meter is filled in like 2 minutes.

or you can just do whatever you been doing.

your choice.

(sometimes you have to do it three times because the first time will give you the +1 intangibles jump you would have gotten from practice)

also, equipping the custom shots is glitched, but boy, is my custom shot fire......lol

Waiting on the first update.. pro am lagging horribly.. someone always lags out of my teams 5.. got in a game just now where didn't get a shot/layup meter.. luckily went up by about 15-20 other team quit

oh and DC

its funny that every year the improvement to 2k is that the gameplay is closer to the particular slider set i've created (based off OS work, of course)

its hilarious....

slower overall gameplay, lower verticals, lower overall athleticism, higher steal/strip chance, higher fouls, higher fatigue, etc etc etc etc

list goes on and on....

i will say this, tho, the game does seem much more improved as far as realism in human vs human play... (yes, there are cheesers, but you can actually notice 2k making an effort to nerf past year's cheese and anticipated cheese. NO IDEA WHY THEY PUT THOSE CHEESY DRIBBLE MOVES AS THE DEFAULT FOR MYPLAYER THO....but oh well lol)

I will never say a game is less cheesier within the firs 14 days of release.

Again, say all of this in November once folks figure the game out

people will always look for exploits in the coding of videogames...

HOWEVER

you can see they made a real effort to nullify a lot of the BS. (i skipped 16, so i'm speaking from the perspective of coming from 15)

simply making the stamina meter deplete within 3 dribble moves is all i even needed

now there isn't much running down to the arc to launch a three out of a sprint (there is, they just dont go in)

they have 3 seconds in mypark

they made stealing and interaction between the defender and ballhandler much more fluid. i feel like they only miss my hand hitting the ball 1/15 times, as opposed to the past, where, if stuck in an animation, you could morph through the ball every time....

really digging the depth of customization in character creation....(sure, it could have MORE depth, but this is fine, for now...)

the only gripe i have with 2k is how obvious a cash grab VC is.....i don't sweat it because 99% of people who bought VC to boost are horrible anyway...

i was complaining about obtaining badges offline again, only to find out there are park badges AND pro-am badges....(in addition)

also, you only buy the next level of your build's unique badges, i.e. you have to organically level up all the other ones....for example, catch and shoot, i have bronze. i can't buy silver, i just have to keep catching and shooting...

baby steps? sure.

but...it's something.

and spyder, you CAN use your jumpshot in mypark/pro-am, it's just glitched.

select the jumper, then go to like practice or an event, it SHOULD save it when you come back, and then, when you load into the park, it should be saved (itll say john wall tho)

you just cant try the jumpers out by equipping them,

you have to edit the one you have equipped if you want to try it out without re-loading your character each time.

Still can't create my own shot to save my life :smh:

try slowing yourself down.

i used to get anxious and try chaining the next move into the first move and end up uncontrollable.

if you slow down and hit people with one move, wait for them to react (or not) then react to their movement, you'll make alot more space for yourself.

also, you have to make the triple threat very real. mix it up between straight drives (no moves), moves, pull ups, and straight catch and shoots.

(also, a big part of creating space/beating people is knowing when you've beat the guy, or have space....it's an art in itself)
