you can time your release on layups on 2k16 also. if you never tried to, it works.

edit: its not actually the "release" like you might launch the ball earlier if you release it earlier (some animations may allow this though) but what it really does is help the accuracy of the shot

I'm ready to here more about Pro-Am.

Related to Pro-am.....I hope they change the format to qualify for the big tournament. The fact that my squad could win by 40-50 points, everyone end up with a A or higher and only result in 800-900 points was discouraging.

Teams that were scoring 4K+ points a week without having any opposing teams quit in 8-10 games was doing SOMETHING.

I'll rather see a bracket style tournament with the top 300-400 ranked pro-am teams. Start out with double elimination and once the tournament reach a field of 64 or so, start with single game elimination.

Whoever keeps choosing these wack *** songs for 2K trailers needs to be shot and replaced.

As for the stick vs button argument I used to use the stick because it gave more control.

But once they merged the shot stick and dribble without a button modifier I stopped.

Wasn't tryna accidentally pull up from 30 ft when trying to get past a defender.

Made the stick dribble only and been using the button ever since.

I still put up buckets so it doesn't really matter

because pushing up on the stistic seems unrealistic . pressing it till and the meter coming out feels more natural and realistic. I don't like the stick Euro step either. The floater I have no problem with.
You are technically supposed to press down (away) on the shot stick, to simulate the dip that takes place before a jumpshot is taken IRL.

You can always turn the meter off

I loved in Live 2004 if you abused the hop step button you'll lose the ball. Hopefully it's the same in 2K17

I hope so. I probably will be when the game is dropped.

Them folks will cry to Ronnie, and then they will dumb the game down, like they always do

I hate when they dumb stuff down and make  complex moves SUPER accessible to people that don't need to have stick skills

It shouldn't be easy to pull off a Euro

Euro is a move that is situational, and should depend on stamina, momentum, angle and skill.

I don't think it being super accessible is a problem, if what i said above is taken into account. Like there should be a penalty for trying to euro with Javale....and a tired garden should get stripped or not be as effective when he euros.

It's fine.

I am simply referring to the stick commands needed to be input to do complex basketball moves.

The Euro IS an advanced move.

It should take more than a simple, TAP TAP, to make it happens

Nah, I believe that was 05 and beyond. The hop step/drop step button was introduced in Live 04, and there was no collision detection what so ever.

Whichever Live had Melo on the cover (2005 ?) was a solid game man. Other than Live 10, I played the hell out of that game

Live 10 had so much promise then..........yea

Why would they blow it up after Live 10? Whoever is responsible for that made the worst decision EA sports has ever made

They hired the dude from the Hockey team to be the lead of the project.

Mike Wang (Formerly of 2K) left EA after a little over a year there. So a lot of the genius that he brought to the team was removed.

I don't know man, it was one of the greatest, "What Ifs."

Live's atmosphere is UNTOUCHED by 2K man. It isn't even close. 2K16 still can't get the NBA Atmosphere right.

Now that is something I hate, yall "claim" I never say anything negative about them (Far from the truth BTW), but I hate their atmosphere at times

Playoff games in live 10 were :wow: :x

When u would launch a three hearing the crowd say "threeeee" was so lit

Marv Albert screaming at the top of his lungs after a dunk

Might be ignorant but I am about to use the, "They had it right on a previous generation so I don't understand why it is broken now" card.

College Hoops 2K8 had good atmosphere.

I am not exaggerating, I played the PLayoffs in 2K16 and there were times where the crowd was DEAD for those games. It made me not want to play. I played 65 games, simmed the rest, got a 4 seed with OKC. And I didn't care about the playoffs because the atmosphere was WEAK.

Killed my joy man

It has to be something that's impossible to fix. I can't accept that they're just ignoring it and don't care

NCAA Basketball 10 has the best spacing, atmosphere and movement. That motion offense was a thing of beauty

The court felt scaled correctly, and dudes wouldn't be on top of each other. Constant motion. EA really ***** up after '10.

On another note, I seen some things I liked in regards to screening in some of the 2K17 gameplay vids. Draymond is screening like Draymond

Cape Mode: 2K16's spacing is beautiful as well. Depending on which Freelance Offense is being use.

Cape Removed

never played this game but the court looks nice and spacious.

2k court is to small.

tip off no one even close to the 3 point line in real life.

its not though. court is to small.

court needs to be widen and longer to make the spacing"beautiful" and perfect. look how big the court looks in real life compared to the game pic
