OFFICIAL NBA 2K17 Thread | Available Now

Clark Kellogg tired *** potentially being gone is a W for 2K in my eyes. Dude doesn't even commentate NBA games and hasn't for years get son outta here.
He does Pacers road games

The commentator was never the issue for me, it was always the way 2K had them reading lines.

Again, this was something NBA LIve 10 had fine.

But recent 2K has been fine. Either way, I don't pay attention after a while

Even my child's mom created a female character in NBA street volume 2 and played the street legend mode a few years back. Mind u this woman absolutely hates video games but we had a blast playing that on the OG Xbox couple years ago. They don't make games like that anymore

I always wished that the somehow put "GameBrakers" into 2K. You know how when you had a GB in Street and you took a shot and it was a cinematic shot? Maybe for playoff/finals games in 2K, and someone attempts a game winning shot, we could see it from that type of angle.

Make it an option?

I played the hell out of NBA Street Vol 2 on Playstation 2. Hands down my most favorite basketball game ever, even surpassing NBA Jam.

Street Vol 2 is one of the greatest games ever made period.

and yea I kno they do this every year ..but having no info about the game this close to release is ridiculous. Really wish EA would get there **** together so they would have some incentive to change things

Playoff games in live 10 were :wow: :x

When u would launch a three hearing the crowd say "threeeee" was so lit

Marv Albert screaming at the top of his lungs after a dunk

that in game atmosphere...:smokin :smokin :smokin :smokin

the shooting forms, player models and jerseys... :x :x :x

convinced that 2k will never be able to get the in game atmosphere anywhere close to that.

in regards to comments regarding getting past players when you have a mismatch. Czar had a great tutorial on youtube when 2k16 first released that taught me how to use "a flick of the stick" to take a quick mini step to either side. that makes the defensive player move his feet and allows a player to make a move around him. when i can't get to the basket with consistency using a player that should be able to do so especially against mismatches, i use that move with a decent level of success. its a low fi way of being efficient getting into the paint.

i do think that certain players that have no issues getting around people should be the same in the game. and...as a counter, the defensive (big man) in a mismatch situation should play back at times and concede the jump shot.

i think the way to make the game seem like you "got your butt kicked fair" and not cheated is to continuously make strategy improvements like that.

OAN

there is no excuse for 2k to have the same lame atmosphere that they have always have...especially when 6-8 years ago, there were games out that had this on point. i love 2k, being a part of #simnation has helped to give me a better understanding of why things can't be perfect, and the effort and time it takes to make things better...and how hard that team works

my complaints with them, that i feel like they have no excuses for are
1. in game atmosphere
2. the fact that every year they take something in game and revamp it, sometimes for no reason. (sometimes to go right back to it in later versions... i.e. button comb to do the euro step) so they basically start from scratch every year in some areas. create something, stick with it and build on it. don't revamp post play one year with the promise of building on that foundation, then the next 2 releases, revamp post play 2 more times. what are you building on? (and yes, i do understand that some things are just broken and/or could just be better)

and before some contentious NTer posts some demonstrative response to this...keep in mind,...

IMHO

1 more thing...

the clippers and warriors hate each other. i would love to have the feeling in game that they actually hate each other. i don't wanna see fights in game. but, visual chatter and trash talking, mixed in with the occasional tech would be nice

Funny thing is 2K actually has Rivals under the hood.

Notice the achievements and badge requirements, (Beat a Rival etc). So it is there but outside of it being a label, there isn't much more to it.

Crowds need to be hype.

Role players need to have fluctuations in their biorhythm. (See 2K3)

agreed. the foundation is there. but the in game emotion is totally absent.

How about when your down by whatever and u make a run late in the fourth and take the lead crowd sits there dead like whatever.

Crowds in 2K are too often just DEAD SILENT. I've been watching basketball almost as long as I've been alive. A full arena is NEVER as quiet as 2K makes them. Even when it's a blowout and people leave early you still hear SOMETHING. It's just so weird to me when all of a sudden the whole crowd shuts up only to give some weak cheer every now and then

2k soundtrack using the same Jay Z song for the last 5 years  anyway any news on MyPark?

wait so now there is a release for layups?

what the hell is 2k doing...this one is so unnecessary the damn game already misses alot of layup and dunks.

This is honestly LONG overdue. Never an issue when giving the user more freedom/control. Separate the skilled from the unskilled in that area.

I tell you man. If 2k would get rid of the gimmicks and keep the things that aren't broken then concentrate on the gameplay of 5-5 they could make a near perfect game. They change ish that isn't necessary and don't fix the stuff that's broken and people been complaining bout for years.
