Guards like Cp3 don't drive much.

I mean....in real life, most guards aren't attacking the paint like that trying to finish at the rim over defenders. Other than Russ and Kyrie....most PG's are opportunistic drivers.

Im talking bout cp3 blowing a layup when mario chalmers is contesting etc I don't expect him to dive into andre drummond's chest and finish strong like lebron but damn

I only play classic teams with my friend I play 2k with the most. Hoping it's only the college teams they charge for or they're offering more classic teams than the usual suspects.

None of that **** where they make the team without some of their best players because they couldn't get the licensing. Just don't put the team in. I didn't use the jail blazers team once because Sheed wasn't on it.

Another thing that should never have been removed. This company infuriates me

You know they have to take stuff out and then re-introduce it to act like it is something new.

Just like the D-League. It needs to be there.

If you can finish in traffic with smaller guards, then hats off to you. Pretty sure finishing with those types of guys is a common problem. If you're that good, adding the release thing shouldn't be an issue

I'm just saying, give it a shot before we knock it.

I am conservative with my drives. So MOST contested layups SHOULD be missed. Even people that finish at a high rate have lower At Rim % when comparing contested vs. UnContested.

Me personally, if a layup misses, and I am contested, I just tell myself I should have taken a better shot that possession.

That is just me.

I completely understand if it is frustrating to you.

But I also think OLD basketball video games spoiled us with finishing rates because before 2K14, layups always went in at abnormal percentages.

I completely understand if it is frustrating to you.

Relax bro

I also play to win so I avoid contact layups, pocket passes, hop step back jumpers, etc. the useless stuff. I know what to avoid - that doesn't mean it's realistic. That's all I'm asking for.

Doggie that's my whole point, it's already a task to finish at the rim with cp3 etc i think adding in a release will just make it worse

Adding a little bit of skill doesn't mean it's gonna lower your percentage (it's like playing with the shot meter vs true shooting percentage) - as long as they fix the initial problem. Seems like we agree that there's a problem. Just depends on how they implement this release thing. I just broke down a way I think it could work.

Everyone has a different perception of realistic is all I am saying. Nobody is right or wrong. I think that is why they gave us sliders. Sure, sliders don't exist online; I know that.

And none of us actually chart how often things happen that we THINK happen alot.

It is all about perception.

Shot Stick Toward Basket is as basic as you will get. It is supposed to be the "Two Handed" finish. But some people have flashy two handed finishes, so I see the issue.

It was better when it was

Toward: Basic
Away: Reverse
Left/Right: Left/Right Handed Dunk
Rotate: 360

They should go back to that
They should go back to that
They should go back to that
They should go back to that
They should go back to that

Lol should I add a disclaimer to my post so we're all clear that I'm talking about my perception? Outside of some troopers on OS who are willing to record and track large sample sizes then compare it to actual NBA tracking data - every gameplay complaint is about perception.

I am simply saying there is no way to truly know how often something happens unless you keep track of how often it happens.

If you believe something happens alot, then you will see it happening alot and most likely ignore when it isn't happening.

That is all I am saying.

I just honestly wish 2k would focus solely on 5 on 5 gameplay. I really believe we could have a near perfect game if they did.
I understand its not sexy to casual fans but it what I care bout most.

Why is there this assumption that they don't focus on it?

Like, I want to have a legit conversation.

Save the Cape comments for a second

because what are the main mentions and biggest news so far.

selling teams for dlc and mycareer/my player modes. being that its a yearly release they can only put so much into it  .

if they were to put that effort into the 5 on 5 gameplay  it could be even greater then it is. im know im very critical but i still enjoy the game and i buy it obviously but i feel like if they focused on the actual game more and not the side games and fluff they can make a almost  perfect game.

We really have no news man.

No news mentioned doesn't mean no improvements are coming.

I cod see if we have been bombarded with news and nothing g was mentioned about 5 on 5 but we still know nothing about this game

Your first point is common sense. Like I said, all gameplay complaints or observations are based on perception and feel. Outside of 2K and some OS guys, 99% of ppl don't have time to track and record large sample sizes of specific data. If you wanna dismiss all complaints based on that, cool.

2nd point is pure nonsense

It is nonsense to say that if you believe in something you subconsciously look for things to reinforce and support your claim?

Ok. That isn't even 2K logic, that is real world logic. If I think my girl is cheating on me, my heart is racing anytime she leaves the house to go wine sipping with LaKeisha.

If I think that people don't finish in traffic well enough, take a guess what will be magnified in my mind when it happens?

"Motivated thinking" or "Bias" aren't concepts that I created so if you think it is nonsense, take it up with the American Psychological Journal.

Again, you missed the point.

If you want actual change, instead of just COMPLAINING about something, it takes nothing to record 3 or 4 games and provide EVIDENCE as to what you think the issue is.

EYE am not dismissing your claim.

I am simply saying if you want it to be "fixed" show proof of it actually being a problem. That is how you get change to happen.

Not simply complaining over and over about it on NT.

The devs make themselves available on OS and Tweet. You can contact them DIRECTLY.

Make a sound argument and they WILL listen.

That is all I am saying.

Otherwise, your complaints will never get fixed

Firstly, there are different teams within 2K. THere is this misconception that, "If they are working on _____, they aren't working on _____." Most likely, the team that is working on segment A, doesn't work on segment B. There is an art team, there is an audio team, there is a concepts team, there is a engineering team, there is a gameplay team. So doing A doesn't mean you aren't doing B.

Secondly, If you want insight on how hard the team works on the 5-on-5; I would suggest following Da_Czar, Mike Wang, Scott O'Gallagher, and Zach Timmerman on Twitter. Also, follow their developer's blogs on OS and the posts they make. They are very transparent in regards to the things they do with on-court gameplay. All of those dudes are basketball junkies that take this serious and want the best for #SimNation.
