Not trying to hype these, but people are going to spot this anyway.  The AD is only releasing in about 8 HOH locations.  And to again draw a comparison.  Nike did the same thing with some of the Jordan Futures (another 'next/future' 'concept' type sneaker).   I remember they did it with the one that released around Easter that year.  And they also did it with the 3M grey/silver one.  Think they did it with the bred too.  But in between those, they dropped boat loads of other colorways, mostly mono ones, like these.

No it isn't. Part of the reason people bought OG Jordans is because they released the colorways MJ wore in game.

That is my point. People are lame. Whether someone wears them or not, should not be the only reason a person purchases a shoe, or that shouldnt determine popularity and hype. That is just  silly. That's like people no longer buying iPhones because Steve Jobs passed away. 

People should buy for either the brand, player, look, style, comfort not because certain person wore them. It's like the yeezy, as ugly they are people cop because of his name on them not because he wears them or not.

Personally...I agree with you.  If Nike re-released those white/multi Kobe 9 HTMs, I would camp for a week, and I don't care who wore them, when, who didn't etc.

BUT...  The reason these guys get these mega sneaker deals is because if people in general see a famous/successful athlete (or celeb) wearing a sneaker, people want that sneaker, or something in proximity to it (under the same brand/label).  That stands to reason why if a specific sneaker is worn by an athlete (especially during a notable moment...like Kobe's last game), people are going to want that specific sneaker more than the others (and it will likely sell substantially more).  When I was a kid, Jordan 1s, 3s....they felt like bricks.  But it was MJ.

i seen that too but there are 3 colors listed on the locator, the grey the volt and then a "april 1st" color (which is the 1 that only showing being release in like 8 locations)...any1 that can shed some light on this and what the 3rd color looks like if there is one...thanks

Now there is a good explanation. Makes a whole lot of sense. I can agree to that, but lol if they are a specific players shoe, they still his shoe whether he wore them or not, they his signature shoe lol

ive been copping Kobes since the hyperdunks and Kobe 1s and been in these threads since then or at least reading em. same thing happens every single Kobe released when everyone is hating to begin with but when an on feet pic comes up, everyone wants em which is ok. its called Marketing. they do influence me to buy it. just like those influencers you follow on IG. thats why they pay these athletes money to endorse em. u think UBs will be these hyped without Kanye wearing them? stop being Naive man.
 
Feeling the the NXTs overall. 2 minor gripes are the backwards swoosh and the 4 stripes on the heel.
 
They must be on a 'shroud' kick, because someone sent me that the 11 Alternate 'Glove' is also about to release soon.

These are fire, it's something different and futuristic looking, people will come around to the design. They always do, especially when it hits clearance ha
