Tough love: Dad sells disrespectful son's SUV on Craigslist

(CNN)Fed up with his son smoking weed and "acting all thug," a Florida dad sold the teen's SUV on Craigslist.

And he agreed to take $250 off the price if the buyer lived in the area just so his son would see the vehicle every now and then to remind him "how good he had it!"
Ouch.
Allan Gieger Jr. told CNN he did it only with his son's best interest at heart.

"I've been having some issues with my son over the past year," Gieger said. "I don't want to see him struggle the way I did."
Like the dad who shot his daughter's laptop, or the mom who posted a video of her berating her teen for suggestive posts, Gieger's is the latest example of parental tough love that has caught the Internet's attention.
The Craigslist post was shared over a thousand times on Facebook, to mostly positive reviews.
Gieger says he has received calls and messages praising him for "standing for up for other parents."

Call me a scumbag but I have a "divorce" and "cheating" alert set up for cars on Craigslist. Every few months you will see a nice car for the low on there due to indefinitely. A scorned women with her dudes car in her name will let it go for pennies on the dollar, just to be spiteful.

How do you get the alerts?

Login

Search for something like you normally would

Once you get the results you'll see that "save search" is on the side of the search bar, click that.

Once its saved, you go to the searches page under your account and turn the alert on to get emails.

Or you can set up an IFTTT recipe and have them sent to your email daily. I do the same thing for items I'm interested in, but not necessarily in a hurry to buy but want a steal.

I haven't yet. I barely drive so I'm not really in the market right now.  Great deals/cars also don't appear too often. If you look online you see stories like this pop up all the time tho. I remember seeing 350/370z's getting sold for like 10k. I think I also read on NT that someone got a Jeep STR8 for the low as well.
