-post on Niketalk.

Should have catered to us Southern folks that were snatching up everything with a horse on it.

da south was just picking da scraps & bones da 90's NYC era left off.

ralph lauren has to convey that quality that you can't get at Zara or H&M.

they also gotta stem da of their **** always finding their way to TJ maxx & Marshalls.

This is a major issue that they can't seem to solve -- brand dilution is very applicable here.

I'm gonna assume their internal systems are straight buns.

The stuff that ends up at Marshalls and the Maxx are mostly shirts with imperfections i.e. loose threads, uneven sleeve lengths, different sz than the tag etc... Basically stuff that failed QC for some reason. Makes more sense to sell it at discount stores than scrap it for no profit. Polo been everywhere forever don't think that's the issue here.

Aren't the materials lower quality too, like the outlet polo shirts?

yep, I stopped buying polo (and really all brands) at outlets, years ago.  Not worth the discount, and its all the ****** outlet lines - you aren't getting a deal on ****.

That's some items. A lot of that stuff is made for the stores. Example: If the shirt tag doesn't list an MSRP price, and only has a tjmaxx price, it was made for the store.

You can try googling the style numbers and they likely won't turn up listed at any other stores.
