How much influence do celebrity endorsements have on things you buy????? VOL ...YEEZY

I think it depends on the person and the platform.

General celebrity endorsements don't make me want to go out and buy something, but I can't say how much influence that advertisement has on me subconsciously.

I bought a pair of S. Dots when they were out. I was big on Rocawear in junior high and high school. I had the IX Cologne and I regularly buy Dusse.

i was a big Roca Wear head in HS but i never liked the S Dots

i know they were based off a Gucci sneaker but nah didnt like em

Now that i think about it I have given dusse a try based solely off me liking Yac & being a Hov fan.. with that said I'm still more loyal to Henny but dusse is very close.

Absolutely. I'd be lying if I said MJ didn't make me want to buy his shoes.

Or that Kanye never made me look at SLP.

I was rocking APC before he collabed with them. Matter of fact I was on quite a few brands before celebs were.

But I credit that to NT, fashion blogs and other forums.

I don't think I ever went out on a limb and threw on something nobody already was wearing.

Same goes for you cats. None of y'all original as you think you are. If you were you'd have your own fashion house. The folks that truly do their own things are the designers, we're consumers for a reason.

the effect kanye west has on sneakers is amazing to me.

admirable almost.

im not just talkin about his adidas, but when he wore certain nikes, and then every one would want em and the price would go up.

crazy.

The only thing I've ever bought because of an endorsement by an athlete/celebrity is Jordans..

Yeah, everyone swore that they loved the infrared VI once he rocked em.

Which was funny to me because they (along with the Sport Blues) were always my favorite sneakers.

He put a lot of people on Visvim too but I know cats that were on 'em years before he rocked em. Still though, people are influenced by others. If not celebrities then by their peers.

I know cats who started rocking APC and RRL after I did. But I don't see it as them emulating me because I know I must've seen someone else rock it first. Maybe it's not consciously, but at a subconscious level ya'll are being inspired by someone else at all times.

Even Kanye isn't original honestly. Look at every thing he has touched, heavily influenced by renown fashion designers. He's honestly a huge hype beast himself. He ain't never make something hot that wasn't already being done at a niche level.

It truly is amazing.

What's happening with the Ultra Boost right now is insane.

$90 shoes going for upwards of $300 now. I'll never forget the impact he had on the AM90 4th of July pack :smh: .

None. Well not since I was like 13-14.

Actually Jay did get me to try Dusse but it was free. And I possibly wouldn't have tried Blueberry Yum Yum if it wasn't for Luda

So maybe a little [emoji]128064[/emoji]

Yes. It works both way tho. Jay z lebron or anyone I don't like . I won't buy things they endorse even if I think the product is dope.
People i like I'll buy they ish but only if I like the product.i ain't rocking no under armour no matter how much I like curry.

Opposite of the intended effect. Prices gonna shoot up in the short term so I back off. Stan smiths now cost way more than they used to. Used to get them for I think 60 max, usually less if you go to outlet or factory store....lucky to see the less than 75....a tragedy caused by hypebeasts and sheeple.

I mean we are in a site dedicated to shoes, most of us are probably influenced to buy pairs endorsed by the obvious athlete(s) (Jordan, Pippen, Penny). Atleast back in the days!

The thing with Kanye though, him being a trend setter started as a joke years back. Obviously some fall for it and now those people are buying what he is selling , including other celebrities. In the current era, Kanye is dominating. It is funny to see , hopefully he makes it to the forbes list using his sheeps, just like Jordan did.
