Honestly, aside from the midsole, I'm really digging the style of this shoe. Only reason I didn't cop was because there are other pending priorities at the moment. I may try to revisit these in a month or two.

One thing I noticed, though, was in the few pics I've seen that show the reflectiveness of these with a flash, these don't appear to have the same kind of reflectiveness as the OG XIIIs. I remember the first time I took a flash pic wearing my 98 bred XIIIs, the pic came out with the side panels lit up so brightly that it looked like a different shoe.
 
Went to cop at my local footlocker, no 9.5 or 10 smh... Look very ashy in person
 
Saw these in person today. REALLY wish they did the toe in leather. Could tolerate the painted midsole if the toe box was leather.

That said, im interested in seeing if they can be had for the low. if so, ill get me a pair and swap the laces.

Everyone wanted leather the suede is a deal breaker at full retail price.

Not entirely true. I wanted suede AND leather...... just in the right places. Can't rock with 13s that don't have suede on the midsole. Now if the toe had been leather, suede on the midsole..... I probably would've been in.

I passed on those grey toes a couple years back because of the painted midsole :smh:

I understand where people are coming from wanting leather on the toe box. That wasn't a deal breaker for me after seeing them in person. With that being said, if they change anything about the chutneys I might start a riot.

lol it never did. i guess that comment was for me. i could care less if people dont like the xv and comment about it. its just shoes.

Lmfao I'm a hypebeast I guess you're so narrow minded that you can't even fathom what a hypebeast is I like these shoes not many people do so that makes me a hypebeast ????
 
I honestly think these are one of the best new colorways in quite a while suede toebox will hold up to creasing better and the glossy mid sole makes the shoes less bland and the 3m laces just set it off I'm tired of people only talking about retros and Aj 1s like new colorways can't be added to the list of great job colorways
 
Before the Adidas hype came along, these probably would have sold like the Jordan 12 Master did last year
