Stretch and Bobbito: Radio that Changed Lives (Documentary)

It's a great doc. I watched it two weeks ago on Showtime. The interviews are crazy along with the old footage and freestyles. It's dope to see them handing the yellow Walkman to folks to hear their old stuff and have them flip out.

Great documentary. Thanks for the recommendation!

The craziest part to me was when dude from Elektra said he heard ODB rapping on the show and literally drove up there on the spot and signed him to a record deal. ******* crazy!!!

Saw this last night. Great documentary. It really shows how great rappers from the East Coast were back then

I never heard them B.I.G & Pun verses before tho :wow:

Them jawns were so :x :pimp:

That A+R is Dante Ross. Who is a ******* legend for some of the acts he signed.

Watching now. The Mrs. allowed me some quiet time on Father's Day

So dope.

Dudes who talked about being a mess at school staying up till' 5am. How we were cracked out on those tapes.

I did an ode to JVC Force in the What Are You Listening To Now thread a while back. Dope to see them in there. Dope seeing all these older cats like Percee P, Mr. Complex, Jamal-Ski etc.

I'm from the same area as Bobbito. Jorge, Kadi. So good to see those guys in there and some of the footage from the hood. 104 and Broadway. Falafel spot. Sal & Carmine's Pizza down the block. Choi's sneakers where my addiction began.

I was raising hell on and around Columbia's campus and a youngin' as well.

Seeing them dudes listening to Big L :frown:

"Nah, you ain't lose money....because it's priceless" :smokin
