adidas BOUNCE thread - AlphaBOUNCE, ProBOUNCE, ExplosiveBOUNCE, MadBOUNCE, etc...

Pre-ordered the tans. Gonna sit on the grey when it gets in with that $20 off til the tans cone in. Bring both to the adidas store to do a return of the tan and swap the grey for my returned tans. Bam, $20 saved on grey transfer to the tans.

So much work... But $20 saved...

Discount codes apply too, so definitely get an email subscription 15% code at the very least. I had a random 20% off code that brought my Tans down to $88.

adidas literally emailed me a dont forget your 15% right after i ordered. I reordered and ill just take the first one back to the store. Tried calling to cancel but they said nope

One more quick question:  Anyone with the EM in hand... Do they fit exactly the same as the original upper?

Just unboxed my Tan EMs and they look good, but unfortunately I'm just not sold on the comfort of the silhouette as a whole now that I have them in hand. These were my first pair of Alphabounce and I wasn't expecting plush cushioning but these just felt too hard and bulky for me personally. They also feel pretty heavy which took me by surprise. Oh well, back to ADC they go.

Just placed a pre-order for the Tans on ADC with 15% off code. I went TTS. I hope they fit!

my grey EM's came in today but I'm not too crazy about them anymore after seeing them in person. they looked better to me online for some reason. they are pretty comfy tho. would be unfair to compare most shoes to shoes with Boost. especially the UB's. but these feel great in their own right. I'd say they kinda feel like Lunars but more stable and less bouncy. just pre-ordered the tan joints. gonna take the grey ones back to the Adidas store near me this weekend.

They fit a bit loose on the outside of the toebox for mens sizes. Narrow feet may want to half size down. As far as comfort its just a different feel from boost. The EM is soft, but has more of a neoprene feel to it. The inflexible plastic heel cup is something that's plagued more than one Adidas model, and is barely noticeable if your heel doesn't fit perfectly into the shape of the cup. The bounce cushioning gets its name from a little spring that you get in the middle of your forefoot as you step heel to toe. It's much firmer than boost so don't expect that sponge like feel you have from a boost model, but it doesn't mean it's like concrete either. It's a one piece mid sole with minimal rubber outsole, no torsion bars, carbon fiber arches, or any material other than bounce foam so it's not restrictive of movement no matter how you put your weight down. In that sense the Alphabounce is to bounce what Pureboost is to boost.

Overall it's a great casual shoe that gives a firmer support than boost for high impact athletic activities. I wouldn't say it's better suited for those activities its just a different feel. Even though firmer its still not stiff and the spring in the step still leaves a very plush feeling.

People mentioned break in is required for the AB. I had the same initial impression as you.
