After Disappointing Results, Nike May be Lowering Prices on Signature's

Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard are the new kids on the block. The last best Lebron sig was the 8 and for KD was the 4.

Granted we're sharing opinion, 9,10,11 and 12 were all great models for the LBJ line. The 13 hit the snag and personally I really like the 13.

They really need to shake things up at the executive level to figure out why consumers aren't buying their oversaturated, overpriced yet simplistic product? :smh:

$200 asking price for some basic shoes that should have a MSRP of no more than $120-$130 tops, don't need a cat named MJ to leave in order figure that out.

Already happened.

They took $75 off the Lebron XIII Elite and the KD9 is comparatively cheap.

The downside, is probably seen in things like the retro of the Air Unlimited being cancelled.

That was never gonna do great numbers, but losses would have been offset by price padding on modern signature hoops shoes.

There is a bubble, and it seems Nike it's popping!!
It was only a matter of time , before the "shoe game" busted. Nike has lost its hold on the market. I see more of the newer releases less desirable , and Jordan's I stop buying a few yrs ago.

its as simple as da signatures were meh lookin & they were 2 bills.

da design language of Nike top to bottom all looks da same in this era...

you go to da wall at a modern sneaker store, and all da swoosh placement are damn near uniform on all da kicks from top to bottom, from Flex Fury and Zoom Trainer TR's to roshes, to Kobes, KD's, lebrons, etc.

then you go to da retro section, and da design languages stands up for itself, where da swoosh compliments da design or is in corporated.

I agree with you on this. The design language for the past 3-4 years has been horrendous - damn near same swoosh placement, materials and a stack of weird colourways with no backstory.

About 2 years ago they were at least telling (whack) stories with the weird colourways but recently they just drop a joint and that's it. Feels like Nike design is just burned out with having to churn out 10-15 colourways for each model that they don't want to go the whole 9 yards with the product.

I also feel they need to take the shoes of Nike iD so that way the designers have the ability to design more complex sneakers that don't have to be modular (or 3-4 pieces max for customization).

This should've happened about 2-3 years ago when things started to spiral out of control but better late than never I guess.

KDs were supposed to be the affordable sig line from Nike. It was for awhile around $100, then it just exploded.

this is good news.

About damn time. Prices were getting out of hand. Charging 180-220$ was just cold blooded.
We can thank Steph Curry's sigs and Adidas with their boost shoes for this.
