GSWARRIORS THREAD VOL. ANDDD AGAINNNN NBA CHAMPIONS

1st round of the 2007 Playoffs on NBA TV right now

Still to this day, THE best games I have ever been to in person.  I understand we won the title in 2015, and made the Finals last year and all.   But the electricity in the building for the Mavericks series is and will always be unmatched.

Game 3 of the Mavericks series is the most fun/best experience I have ever had at a sporting event.  NFCCGs, NBA Finals games, World Series games.....absolutely nothing comes close to that experience.

Safe to say karma? :nerd:

idk fellas, i wouldn't necessarily call this karmic justice in the least bit. though i was disappointed he signed with the cavs, i'm not mad that he was choosing the team that gave him the best opportunity to win another ring. only question is, was he open to signing back with the warriors and vice versa?

I would be willing to bet we didnt even kick the tires on him.  It was obvious based on roster construction that we needed another guard.  And when Durant went down, that changed to SF being the biggest need.  Another C was probably last on our list.

for $400,000 it would be almost comical for the dubs to not entertain bringing bogut back. between zaza, javale, and mcadoo, they don't have a center who plays defense as instinctively and capably as Bogut. granted he's injury-prone (case in point, yesterday) his ability to read and react on defense and then alter/block shots at the rim is infinitely better than any of those 3 dudes. also, while this team is getting 30 assists damn near every night, i would argue that his abilities to facilitate from the top, pass, and set hard picks on offense are missed.

i would've have sent mcadoo to the dleague in a heartbeat in exchange for bogut...just play him in spurts during the playoffs. but it's all a moot point

I dont disagree with you that his skillset has aspects that we are missing.  However, we simply didnt have room for him.  With Zaza, JaVale, Draymond, West and McAdoo, we already had more than enough bigs.  Not to mention, we play stretches where Draymond plays center, so that creates even less playing time for adding another big man.

Our roster needed another guard.  That was our biggest need.  Then when Durant went down, that shifted to SF.  Another big was not something we were looking for.

Doesn't make sense to sign essentially a 5th center if you include Draymond. I wish they would've cut McAdoo for Caulderon. I think a veteran PG will be crucial down the stretch. Maybe motivate Clark to step up his game.

Chef and KlayDaGawd cookin. dubs need to win this game to shut up that whole narrative of them not being able to win without KD

Is Clark in the doghouse or something?

He hasn't been getting any burn the last few games

Kind of surprised the W's lost. But, I guess the lineups that Kerr is tinkering with isn't really producing?

Kind of wondering what is going on. I read Marcus Thompson's tweet about not having Gentry or Walton as the offense innovator is hindering the team. Idk, I think they'll be fine...But it's time for them to stop playing this way.

I get the feeling we might see more of this even if the race for the 1 seed is tight. Unlike last season, Kerr will probably give some rest days to the starters. Makes sense, I'm not worried as much about the 1 or 2 seed, this team has proven it can beat SAS on the road.

I agree. I'm sure this is Kerr preparing to see what rotations he can depend on in the postseason. I don't understand the outrage by some of these people.

I feel like Pop is chomping at the bit to play GSW
I'm sure.

Spurs have been playing behind the past few games but came back to win. Hopefully Okc can hold this lead.
