#Brexit vote is now VOL. RIP European Union.

I wouldn't miss Texas at all.

Just leave Bun B and everyone else can disappear. That man is a national treasure.

The stability that exists among the different countries of the Union is being taken for granted. European peoples seem to have forgotten the seemingly petty border disputes that have justified the countless invasions and conflicts that pepper their history. Expect to see a lot more territorial clashes in Western Europe if the EU were to disappear. It won't happen right away, but I'm pretty sure it will be the case in our lifetime.

Was listening to NPR and they had a british journalist who downplayed the nationalism angle, and while I agree it's slightly being exaggerated, I feel anytime you mess with decade old policy-anything can happen.

It's more of an ongoing worry.

When **** starts hitting the fan at home and the nationalists run out of people to blame, what do they usually do? Try to project power beyond their borders. Just look at Russia and how it annexed Crimea. European history is littered with so many territorial grievances that all it takes to get a country on the path of war in a divided Europe is for the leader to make public a 300-year-old claim over a neighboring piece of land.

Texas ain't going anywhere the Tea Party crew started with that Secede ******** and people ran with it.

How could I forget my mitten state brethren. :smh:

Bring Dirk along too, for good measure. He deserves to be saved.

nationalism & pride of country is something many on da left have a blind spot for...
My nationalism kicks in when you anti-American types get on that unAmerican unpatriotic propaganda. Trying to turn this country in to some bigoted xenophobic isolationist undemocratic impoverished corporate controlled police state.

Wish some of yall would try to secede and we could end it there.

Some conservatives are openly floating the idea of treason, but it is liberals that have a blind spot

I have no problem with Nationalism, but I hate that whenever it is practiced in the Western World, and especially in America, it is the most toxic version of Nationalism.

I hate being called unpatriotic because I don't have the urge to send our troops to the Middle East to bomb brown people into dust, or to paint a group of people that were basically incentivized to come to America as a invading plague, or to empower the most pissed off bigots in America so that they can unleash hell on the nearest minority group they can find.

I'm good on that all that, thank you very much.

If you wanna tax me more so my fellow Americans can get healthcare, affordable educations, a jobs program, not be food insecure, have safe neighborhoods, etc., even those ones that hate my very existence, then I will happily do so. That is the type of nationalism I like to practice.

Americans taking care of other Americans because we're Americans.

"patriotism is a virtue of the vicious"

If liberals have a blind spot for nationalism, conservatives have an equally large obsession with it and sometimes further to the extreme

I've been following this on TV this Farage dude comes off as a dbag

Good for britain. No point killing yourself at work so the greeks and italians can take half the year off.

- Make promises in order to win the vote
- Win the vote
- Call promise "a mistake"

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...million-pledge-to-fund-the-nhs-was-a-mistake/

Nigel Farage has admitted that it was a "mistake" to promise that £350million a week would be spent on the NHS if the UK backed a Brexit vote.

Speaking just an hour after the Leave vote was confirmed the Ukip leader said the money could not be guaranteed and claimed he would never have made the promise in the first place.

The pledge was central to the official Vote Leave campaign and was controversially emblazoned on the side of the bus which shuttled Boris Johnson and Michael Gove around the country.

Campaigners promised to use the money the UK reportedly sends to the EU to fund the health service instead.

"One voter, Adam from Manchester, told the BBC: "My vote -- I didn't think was going to matter too much because I thought we were just going to remain."

I personally voted leave believing these lies and I regret it more than anything, I feel genuinely robbed of my vote[emoji]128545[/emoji][emoji]128548[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji]

i think its better in the future for the voters to past an IQ test and the voters need to reach a certain level of intelligence before they would be allowed to vote, some people that are with suffering down syndrome are even smarter than that chick above
