Yall seen that doc, Open Secret? Where the head of the child screen actors guild and renowned child manager apologized for trying to sleep with an underage child when he thought he wasnt being recorded? Its possible mj himself was subjected to these things being a child star. They talk about how the abused children turn into recruiters basically. Feldman recruited Haim essentially.

The guy tried to speak out about the "industry" in a 60 minutes interview then he was accused of being a child molester. When artists transcend the need for a record label and industry control people cease to make money off them and they become expendable.
The guy only wanted to help people and now he isn't here to refute any claims, people can come up with any baseless crazy story they want and you will believe it because he was a wacky guy.
