2016 Official NBA Off-Season Thread: Former Greatness

Chris on the wrong side of 30, he has 2 years of his prime left max.

I love and he's a HOF player but if they have to move him too that's just what they have to do.

As long as they transition nicely while picking up assets and keeping cap room, they'll be fine.

This isn't the old Clippers who couldn't sign anybody, FA's will go there now.
I agree with all of this. Although I'm a bit higher on the team they have as currently constructed than most.

I think ultimately, they resign Jeff, Austin, Jamal, and maybe figure the rest out and if they start poorly or if CP shows any signs of slowing down or if Blake isn't great, one of the two will be moved and like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if Blake is moved by the end of summer either.

clips need to upgrade the 2/3 positions.
they should be all in on jimmy

bulls probably aren't taking any long term contracts? it'll be interesting to see if they are blowing it all up

Trade Blake for Jimmy + Doug.

Oh great, another discussion on CP0

Where's Chester to make sense of this?

Please take all CP0 talk to the offseas........oh wait, carry on
Nothing wrong with it tbh
But it's been the same for the past 4 years
It comes down to the following:
1. Clippers are title contenders
2. I think CP0 is ready
3. Things will be different

DIfferent year, same ****

So is the clippers time in the sun over? are they gonna be back to being the clippers? I mean they've never had a team that was this good. and its sounding like the era is over.

late, but the Thunder better not be shopping Serge. 40%3 pt shooter, with the athleticism to switch pick and rolls, and dominant help defense when engaged (which we saw somewhat of a return to Iblocka, showing that keeping him engaged is just about getting him the ball on offense, again where he shot 45% from 3 on volume. I'd say there almost isn't another player like him in the NBA right now, closest might be like a Patterson and that's a pretty significant drop off.

Even after/if KD signs his 1+1, you have to be in win now mode. Kantner needs to be the one shopped, he still has a 15% kicker, but the no trade clause in his contract (where he has to approve) expired after yr 1 IIRC. You can't be getting max, 17m's per annual which is more than what Harden would be making if he was here on the last yr of his deal, and be unplayable against the #1/2 team in the league. That's presumably a rivalry that will continue into the near future, and there was no place for him.

McGary, probably needs a change of scenery. He's shown some signs, but even he admitted in his exit interview he struggled staying in shape this season and with injuries. I don't think Billy D ever took a liking to him and he ate/weed smoked himself out of the rotation

What is going on in Philly

We're trying to get the third pick to get Dunn but the Celtcs are trying to Brooklyn Net us, and now we are going crazy and are trying to trade both Okafor or Noel to any team with a high pick smh

did not know that about kanter's no trade clause..

he is definitely the one I want moved, if we are going to move someone

CP0 trying to bide his time until Bron pulls the trigger on him at the trade deadline.

Philly can't be gambling the house on a healthy Embiid...... can they?

This won't end well
It's just so philly

Scumbag doc gonna trade blake, smh
Clips deserve better but as long as doc us in charge nothing good will come to them
I swear lebby wouldve campaigned for cp/ kyrie swap if they would've lost too

Is this year's draft class that really weak? :x

I haven't watched college ball much except March Madness
