2016 Official NBA Off-Season Thread: Former Greatness

Can the Spurs afford KD without having to give up anything at all? That team and that culture that they have just seems exactly like what KD would be looking for. He'd be with two other low maintenance stars in the prime of their careers where all they care about is winning and a coach that he really likes and respects. Pop is also going to be Durant's Olympic coach for the next decade where Durant figures to be THE guy for the forseeable future.
 
Wow @ the Celtics getting a meeting with KD before the Lakers and Knicks. Wonder if that changes.

Not that it will eventually matter, but that's sort of interesting.

It's funny though, the best thing that could've happened to the Warriors chances for KD is them blowing the Finals. That new Big 4 would be some straight up comic book ****.

I don't think it's that at all. My point is reporters and believing anything. No way that was a real rumour and look what they settled for Teague, you really think that Noel for Teague was an option the Hawks declined? No way.

I also refuse to believe Noah getting a max. It's just too ridiculous.

Another dumb rumour was Blake to the bucks during mid season.

This is why I think we're the front runner and from what I understand we would have to give up a few things mainly Danny Green which would be fine with me

The Warriors are similar but Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are hardly low maintenance and we just saw Steve Kerr make some awful rotations (which pop has done but has a much longer success track record to counter that)

Yeah, Noel for Teague must have been some fluff. The Noah max that ran wild on Twitter yesterday was some stupid **** too.

But the Noel package for #3 originally came from Marc Stein, right? He's one of the few I trust on the level of Woj. I don't think that was fugazi.
 
I'm sure KD likes and respects Pat Riley but that team has nothing to really offer unless Bosh is cleared to play with zero chance of setbacks.
 
I honestly think KD hates the Warriors and just wants the pleasure of telling them he doesn't wanna go there after they wine and dine him......the Spurs are probably his #1 option with all things considered.
 
Aldridge almost picked Phoenix last year because of their analytics and them telling him what system they run and how he'd be utilized. It's the same reason he picked the Spurs. It wouldn't be a shock to me at all if KD went to the interviews, discussed all that with the teams listed, then came back to OKC and gave away their blueprints to give a leg up to the thunder.

Can't even picture Durant going to the Warriors or Spurs. Why would you go to a team that you just beat? And he would look weak as hell going to a team that he just blew a 3-1 to.
 
What exactly is Riley's plan?

Wade playing for peanuts? Whiteside taking less than the max after where his career has taken him?
 
KD needs to stay right where he is in okc...his best option imo. As long as he doesn't sign with GS Im cool with it.
 
Which OKC fan on NT is the Animal Thug equivalent? Will Datznasty take up the mantel and roll through talking about how he's close with KD's Barber like Animal Thug?

KD's barber should be thrown in jail for negligence. He's never brushed KD's hair not once.
 
has there been any traction as to where Westbrooks head is? 

Kd can stay but if Westbrook leaves the next year....KD aint winning in OKC

It was long ago reported that he didn't wanna play in his hometown due to added pressures of people asking for tickets & him having to tell them no :lol:
