2016 Official NBA Off-Season Thread: Former Greatness

Seriously though, please tell me how it is going to work money wise? Between dragic, bosh, Bob, and Winslow that is 48M. Say the cap is 94m. That leaves you 46m to sign wade, Deng, Whiteside, and kd. Whiteside isn't signing for less than the max so that is 24m there. So that leaves you 22 mil between, Deng, wade, and Kd. That 22m is even less when you factor in cap holds for the remaining 10 unfilled positions.

That is unless Miami can convince bosh to leave 100m on the table to retire in the next 5 days.

So unless they tell Whiteside to piss off, people really think kd is going to leave okc to play with old *** wade, dragic, and possibly bosh?

Miami fans do.

DJ is lowkey a star now. Not in the traditional sense, but he's very good.

we use that word star to loosely these days. There are superstars (KD, Lebron, CP, Kawhi, Curry, Westbrook, Davis), stars (Harden, Melo, Butler, Kyrie, George, Wall, Cousins) and then there's the next level, which DJ would be apart of. This is the very good area.
kawhi a superstar? AD? CP3?

there's like 4 superstars in the nba today. Curry, KD, Russ, Bron. Rest are stars and rec league players.

kyrie is moving up. FAST.

Yes, i believe Davis and CP3 are superstars. Kawhi a little pre-mature.

I couldn't disrespect the superstar list and put Kyrie there, YET. But he's getting close.

I disrespected Draymond and didn't include him in the star category.

No it's more than 4. Blake Griffin is a superstar as well. CP3, AD as well.

Let miami fans tell it they been running the league for years like Jordan's Bulls and will continue to do so because there's nothing wrong with Wade and he has another decade left in him. Also Pat Riley can convince anyone to play for Trident Layers.

Wade is still a superstar

Right? How quickly people forget. He carried Miami this year.

BLAKE?????

I'm a Clipper fan and I'm laughing.

How is Blake NOT a superstar? I think of superstars in terms of on court and off court performance/visibility.

well on-court he only played like what 25 games this year? And even still, he's a mid-range guy now. The blake that had everybody jimmies rustled was the blake dunking over mosgov and pau. This guy dunks but not with the same boom. And now with a bad quad, son might be extra meh.

blake is not a superstar.

If it was all about on court performance Kawhi would be there

I agree with this.

Truthfully, the word superstar should apply to everything, not just on the court. I myself used the word too loosely in my previous posts. Superstars are guys you can build around and lead you through the playoffs.

We all misuse the word

Blake is a superstar at this point tbh, dude is one of the more popular pitchmen in the league

Blake is more of a superstar off the court than on.

Sorry, anybody who can;t produce in crunch time is not a superstar. He's allergic to crunch time.

Wade was having the Best postseason before Miami was eliminated?
Hmm....

was it better than kyrie's? i remember kyrie killed the pistons. and then did whatever he wanted against the hawks too. I think we just think dwade was super balling because we only remember the big games. I remember the games were he looked flabby and sick too. And they lost those. He had to average close to 30 for them to win.
