2016 Official NBA Off-Season Thread: Former Greatness

OJ Mayo and Eric Gordon had the shooting guard position looking bright in 09

Nah he is not in the harden realm of athleticism.

Harden much bigger and stronger than OJ, which is part of being an athlete. OJ's biggest issue to me was that he couldnt beat anyone off the dribble and get to the free throw line, which was never a problem for harden.

Even in stretches of his career where he was great, it was a lot of hot shooting that wasnt sustainable.

I disagree. OJ was a good enough athlete. His mentality was just off. Dude had good enough tools to be productive. And he was. It's not like had a bad career or anything . I expected him to be a 17-20ppg type of 2nd or 3rd option type dude.

There's not much difference between CJ Mcolloum and OJ Mayo. CJ is just more crafty, and has a better mindset.

Monta Jefferson and basically Lawson are broke down too. The teams are comparable in terms of having washed but name players on the roster. I think zinger and rose are > their Indy counterparts, if only slightly
Lawson? Get that bum outta there lol

George has surpassed melo and I feel the pacers are deeper than the Knicks

Knicks couldn't even make the playoffs last year so you expecting rose and Noah to get you there which is fine, but don't talk down on other playoff teams lol

NYK

Rose
Afflalo
Melo
Porzingis
Noah

Pacers

Teague
Ellis
PG13
Young
Jefferson

Not sure what point you're trying to make here

He saying that you're blind because ray charles could see the pacers are better then the knicks

If Knicks sign Courtney Lee and that 22 yr old center from Porzingis's country they need to spend the rest of the time looking at wing dudes

I'm probably higher on rose then most but the pacers had a way better roster than nyk last year and less injuries. I honestly think rose is no worse than = teague this year and a huge upgrade from caldo. Also Lee and eg would be an upgrade at the 2 plus a more seasoned KP. I don't think Jefferson moves the needle much more than Noah. Monta was a non factor all last year. These teams are on the same tier imo

Nobody should be thinking the pacers are next but they should be a sure bet to make the playoffs

I wouldn't be as confident to say the Knicks will

WHAT THE ****. Whenever you get to the point where your salary is abbreviated with an M, it's time to put down the sugar and hire someone to kick your *** whenever you try to do so.

Do you not realize the richest people do the most cocaine?

I think OJ is done. Maybe he can catch on overseas but in the nba if doubt he sees a big pay day again

Hornacek confirmed Hernamgomez is coming over this season.

I just hope we fill the bench with 3 & D guys.

3 and d guys. Exactly. That should be all they are looking at after Lee and Hernamgomez.

If homie lost his mind in Milwaukee, I wouldn't trust him in to do anything positive in another country.

I wish him the best but he's looking real 30 for 30 in the light
