Do yall count sucker punches?

I'm not fighting anyone unless they cross some lines they shouldn't. Basically if you get sucker punched you earned it. I'm never looking to fight like that anymore.

I'm not even trying to break my hand though that **** sucks.

Pretty much.

Why I concealed carry and pray I never have to use it.

Too old and too much going on to be fighting like im in HS

Me too. Like what am I going to do? Tell my girl to hold my gun white I square up with someone?

I dont care how trained a ****** is, no way im takin the L

spoken like someone that doesn't kno much about the art of fighting.

size to a certain extent does matter but a calm head and well executed technique and skill set more than compensates for that defecit.

never think that bc person A is bigger than person B that theyre the winner by default. don't work like that my g.

But a ****** is so small that none of that matters or applies.

I'm washing a ****** with a black belt in bjj

Size matters but that doesn't have to mean the bigger fighter always will win. Everything matters in fighting.

Hate when people say size doesn't matter AT ALL.

If you run up behind someone or even just chilling/dap up with someone (like the DJ Nate and Lil B videos) and hit them out of nowhere you Poo-C and you know it because that's how you chose to initiate the fight.

If you yelling in someone's face like you're about that and they snuff you with your guard down, that's not a sucker punch because both of you knew you were in a confrontational situation and at that point it's you or him who's got to be the one take it there.

Nah... I know to many bouncers getting dropped by these midgets.

No footwork, no dip & jab, start to panic when on their back :smh: Trust... skill is EVERYTHING!

exactly.

ive recently started to realize that most people really haven't given very much attention to the complexities of fighting.

they think if the big guy gives his all and swings hard enough he's gonna take the W. nah bruh.

theyre called martial ARTS for a reason.

They also have WEIGHT classes for a reason.

Sugar Ray Leonard is more skilled than Klitschko

Klitschko would literally murder dude in a street fight

this. I remeber the fight where some random normal sized dude was fighting this huge wrestler dude, and beat the crap out of him to the point he couldn't go on in the tournament (because UFC used to be a 1 night, king of the ring deal) because he broke his hand.

Skill plays a large part, size/physical conditioning plays a part, violence of action plays a part.

*edit* the ufc fight I mention above was between emanuel yarborough, a sumo wrestler and keith hackney

UFC used to be a one night tournament?

More info/vids?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_3

From wikipedia:

UFC 3 used an eight-man tournament format, with the winner receiving $60,000. The tournament had no weight classes or weight limits. Each match had no time limit or rounds; therefore no judges were used for the night. Competitors could only win a match by submission, throwing in the towel, knockout, or referee stoppage. This event marked the first time the referee was given the authority to stop the contest.

They also used to allow groin strikes. Only rules were no biting and no scratching.

Nope, not at all.

Dude should have stayed down, lol. I watched the vid but I still couldn't make out what the issue was. People in the comments section mentioned the kid asking to call Soulja boy so he can sign him. Not sure how true that is.
Or if it warrants that kind of response.

If you sucker punch someone and they didn't get ktfo, you taking a L.
Straight pillow fist.

True talk, like that vid with old man in the suit and that kid. He tried to sucker punch the dude, and he missed :smh:. After that I would murder him, b/c all that would be on my mind is dude trying to sneak me and potentially cause me to fall out and hit my head on the curb or god knows what else. He was lucky the old dude wasn't really a fighter.

I thought that too.

But once a fight is established, there is no such thing as a "dirty" fight or "sucker" punch.

If you get in my personal space and/or safety zone, the fight has been established.

If you throw words at me like "*****" "Im gonna kick your ***" "Ill ******* kill you"... the fight has been established.

If you jeopardize the safety of my family. The fight has been established.

It's now my duty to defend myself whether you're all talk, no bite. Can't take any chances.

Understandable. Once **** goes left, then it is on and you have to do what you have to do. I think the real sucker punch is when you having a casual convo, then out the blue someone hits you. Or if you are in a fight shooting the fair one, then someone from crowd just runs up and hits you. **** like that is gay as hell. the problem is people still count it as a KO and nothing happens to other person. **** like that shouldn't be respected.

Whats everyones take on letting someone get up to continue fighting after a slight KO? Or yall going on top and finishing dude.
What about dudes that try to kick or wrestle?

Just shooting the fair one, once the person is KO'd fight should be done. Now if the person did some real grimey, gutter **** to me or my fam and he deserves death then all bets are off once we start fighting. If I get the upper hand, he is in for some **** until I collect myself again or people pull me off.

That's why Royce Gracie was considered the GOAT.

Dude used to win tournaments, fighting guys in like Shamrock, Kimo, Dan Severn... ect.

There was no 8 week preparation for a fight... they came in, fighting 3 different people all in the same night for the Championship!

How?

I'm not dismissing skill like your dismissing size.

Obviously skill is more important but size and strength also play HUGE roles in fighting.

I don't see why you guys are fighting that idea so hard

Once you square up, it's heads up. Better pay attention to the body movement if somebody square up with you or even get close enough to reach you.

which is why Carmelo's incident was never a sucker punch.

if we bout to fight and you dont have your hands up, thats on you

I get the size argument. Trust me I do. A MIGDET IS NOT WASHING ME. not in this life. A short guy with skills? Yeah maybe. A ******? Idgaf if he's a navy seal I know how to fight and I'm big. Have any of you ever seen a ****** in person? Cuz some of y'all are acting like you haven't.

A ****** is not knocking out anyone. How is that punch going to have any weight behind it? Not happening.

Last dude who squared up with me caught me way off guard so I hit him with a table and choked the hell out of him until he apologized. damn crackheads coming at me eating tacos.
