Since you're a man who speaks with action, then go back to the restaurant and show your regret, shame, and empathy by paying back whatever you owe them. 

You're not right at all. You had nearly an hour and a half to decide whether to stay for the meal or not. In the end, you decided to stay, eat the food, and not pay the full amount like a selfish pig.

Waiter should have came correct with service. Maybe he won't let the next man wait 30 minutes for a damn introduction. This isn't a black/white issue. If he leaves before receiving the food, food gets wasted restaurant loses money, yet people here will argue he should have done that, then people here claim it's because he ate the food? Again, regardless if he eats the food, restaurant loses the money.

I worked at a high-end restaurant through my college years and it is the hardest I have ever worked, that being said it sickened me how terrible service can be sometimes, and there were times I was HOPING the customer walked out on one of my coworkers tables.

From my perspective, if the service is on par, you shouldn't be able to walk out on the bill.
 
I just passed by to and was contemplating on taking ya advice on making it right but @BlackIntellect convinced me otherwise. Hahahahaha

Nah I might do what needs to be done but I'm not going of my way.
 
I think this was handled all wrong.

If I don't get greeted in 20 minutes at a restaurant, I'm walking out. I've worked in restaurants before, that's a huge issue and isn't something I just let go for that long.

Hell, even if it's been 5 minutes and no one has greeted me yet, I'm flagging someone  down. But 20? That's like an entire episode of Seinfeld on TBS, hell no. If it's been that long, you get up, demand to see a manager, and you tell him how unacceptable this is and that you'll be contacting the owners/corporate/whatever. I can GUARANTEE they will comp half your meal, send you discounts, they'll do anything.

THEN.. you're honestly telling us that from the time you were finally greeted to the time the food arrived.. EIGHTY MINUTES OF HUMAN EXISTENCE PASSED? Nope nope nope. That's absurd. Even on our worst day, I have never seen food take an hour and 20 minutes to be brought out to the table. 

I would have left even after talking with the managers, bad service like that is not acceptable. But you stayed and got a bill, so you should pay it.
 
Being angry isn't a good excuse.

You keep posting you regret it but then you still sound ok with the waiter taking the L on the bill.

We discussed leaving multiple times seeing everyone get there meal thinking ours is next. But then My anger took over and spite them I was like let's wait and teach them a lesson. Which is absurd, I know.

And honestly, I refuse to believe the service was that bad. I've seen people invent reasons to get out of paying tabs or leaving a proper tip. There's some mental gymnastics going on here.

The part about wanting someone to confront you about not paying the bill was kinda entertaining. Like they shouldn't be asking you to pay the rest of the bill or you'll assault them.

Every ***** I meet in NYC stays in queens. They seem thirsty too but queens seems hella far. I'm a transplant and I ain't knowin.
