At least two explosions have been reported at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport. Many people have been wounded, according to Turkish media.
The blasts occurred in the airport’s International Arrivals Terminal.

A Turkish official confirmed to Reuters that two explosions have hit the airport. According to some Turkish media, the blasts were terrorist attacks targeting two separate locations in the airport.

More than 40 people have been injured in explosions at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, broadcaster Haberturk reports.

We're gonna need one of those signs that says " _____ days since a terrorist attack "

****. Even worse, from the link:

"Gunfire was heard from the car park near the airport, CNN Turk reports, citing the witnesses. Four armed men were reportedly seen running away from the terminal building after the explosions, according to Turkey’s NTV channel."

These attacks are often glossed over, especially the ones happening in Turkey. Our news has reported at least 2 recent terrorist attacks in Turkey I can recall. There's probably been several more.

It's terrible what's going on over there and it deserves more attention.

It's so tragic what has happened to istanbul.. It really is one of the most wonderful places I've had the privilege of visiting. Such a culturally rich city with unbelievable monuments and destinations.

I hate these cowards inflicting pain on innocent lives.

Always wanted to visit, but i'll fall back for a while.

RIP to those lost.

Turkey wants to join da E.U. too heh. thats happens & da € will meltdown like wet cotton candy.

On my way to Sudan in 2011, I flew through Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. Anyone who has been there in recent years will confirm this, but in my opinion it is by far the nicest big airport in Europe. The amount of amenities in there is unlike any airport in the USA, and is second only to Dubai International IMO.

RIP to the people who lost their lives.

11th busiest airport in the world

Damn I flew into Ataturk a couple of times just last summer.

RIP to the deceased.

Turkish terror attacks usually don't get the news coverage the Western European attacks get. :smh:

Isn't this like the second major terrorist attack in Turkey in the past few months? WTH is going on over there?

What's going on is that Erdogan is in the crosshairs of the Kurd separatist movement and in bed with/in the crosshairs of ISIS

Just saw the videos of the suicide bomber

Dude falls to the ground, his gun goes sliding across the floor, then he activates his vest.

Scary stuff. Humans can be the worst.

This is terrible. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. Now let's all continue living our lives.

Innocent lives shouldn't be taken by the hands of ignorance. My ex moved back to turkey not too long ago. I'm glad she and her family are safe. Ignorance needs to stop.

shut up

"The main reason why matters have proceeded so slowly is that the EU's big beasts, France and Germany, do not want Turkey to join," says The Guardian. "Hardly anything happens in the EU without the agreement of these two founding members

expect that process to be more glacial.

plot twist is da US needs to Kurds to battle ISIS, but Turkey arguably hates da Kurds MORE than ISIS.

Numbers keep ticking up. 31 confirmed dead now :frown:

4th attack in Istanbul alone this year from what I'm reading.

I don't get what's goin on at all man
