Who Is the Most Misunderstood Person in History?

wat are you saying family?

Lucifer questioned God's judgement on why more powered & superior angels should worship a inferior being such as da mortal incarnate Jesus.

So Lucifer gathered all da Angels that agreed with him and showed God, only to have God dig in his heels, which prompted da war of angels on heaven.

between this story & adam & eve basically tells me God don't take being second guessed to likely.

basically it comes down to me understanding why would god give everyone free will, but be mad when people actually use it.

If i was a random super powered angel and i paid all my dues in heaven, only for someone to tell me i gotta worship someone beneath me in every way, id be aggy about it too.

think of da CEO telling da CFO that his or her's job is to cater to da mailroom clerk at all cost.

Yall should read this book.

This is what got me to read the book, might work for yall too.

Has anyone here read the Anne Rice book Memnoch the Devil? The main protagonist in her Vampire Chronicles series, the Vampire Lestat, meets Satan (who prefers to go by Memnoch) and he tries to recruit him to be his lieutenant in his adversarial relationship with God (I hesitate to call it a war, as that's not really the tone of how it's described although that's arguable). In the story Lestat has philosophical discussions with devil, and then goes on a Dantes Inferno style journey through hell.

In the story, God is far from perfect, and Memnoch is critical of him whilst an angel. He accuses him of not understanding his creation, and not empathetic to what it's like to be a mortal being and human. Memnoch is fascinated with humans and actually eventually, wraps himself in mortal flesh, and experiences what its like to be human. He wanted to be able to explain to God what it was like, in order to persuade him to change how God treated humans. God discovered what he had done, and this was Rice's version of the Fall of Lucifer. He was banished from heaven and given dominion over hell as punishment.

To Memnoch's fury, God eventually realizes Memnoch's wisdom does the same thing only better, and impregnates Mary, becoming Jesus. God claims to finally understand mortality, and his human creations. Memnoch further criticizes, claiming how could you? You knew you were God. Your death, painful as it was, held none of the fear and uncertainty of your creations, as you knew you would return to heaven.

Hell was described as almost a purgatory meets Dantes version of hell. It was not eternal Torment. It was a place where one must experience all of the pain that you were responsible for causing in others throughout your life, before your soul could be considered cleaned enough to enter heaven.

The duty to carry out this task weighs heavy on Memnoch, as he disagrees with the premise. He sees no need for the suffering he must inflict, because he sees no need for the suffering that's necessary on earth. He views all of it as a sick game, and that only Memnoch can end it. So he tries to enlist Lestat to aid him in ending his very painful prison sentence.

and then there's this..

had wisdom, beauty, ability, perfection, and yet he wanted more; he wanted to be worshiped like God. But God does not share His glory, nor does He permit another to receive worship. So before Lucifer had a chance to make his move, he was removed from the presence of God. Cast out of heaven like a bolt of lightning, Lucifer was stripped of his beauty, his position, and his rights to heaven

you can see it as "dont bite da hands that feed you" but you can also see it as "if you wanna be da man, you gotta beat da man".

Where can I read more about this " The battle of the heavens"?

Did a Google search and came up with a wiki page that doesn't seem to be it.

Karl Marx & Adam Smith. So far nobody in history has even gotten close to either core concept.

Karl Marx: Stop gaining money via underpaying people. Value was and should return to be based on the practical use of the product. Seriously guys, be nice to one another.

Pol Pot: Murder everyone who is smart and/or disagrees with me. Let's all be poor together.

Mao Zedong: Murder everyone who is smart and/or disagrees with me. Let's all be poor together.

Lenin & Stalin: Murder everyone who is smart and/or disagrees with me. Some of us are more equal than others. Also screw the jews.

Chavez & Maduro: Arrest everyone who disagrees with me. Ignore people who are smart. My friends can run government better than the people who studied for those jobs can. Some of us are more equal than others. Let's make a habit of pissing off our neighbors on all three sides.

Karl Marx: Guys!

Adam Smith: It's more efficient if people specialize. Government shouldn't interfere for neither labor nor business. Seriously guys, don't let the rich corrupt the system.

USA: FREEDOM FROM REGULATIONS! Pssssst. Here government, take my money so that regulations only benefit me!

UK: We'll have a permanent wealthy political and economic class as part of government. Surely they won't vote for government to aid their private enterprises.

Adam Smith: Guys!

Who's gonna make the spin off? "Who is the most understood person on NT?" but it would be between like 4-5 NTers

Some biblical truths about Satan:

Satan/ Hasatan/ The Adversary is the force which exists once goodness/light is created with the freewill system.
That is how God can create everything good, yet Satan can still exist. He is the by product.
(Like in Gen 1:4, God created light and separated it from darkness, but the depiction of darkness being created was
not mentioned.)

He is a necessary force and within creation. He is antithesis of everything good, yet he is still under God's authority. ( Job 1:12)
He is full of arrogance thinking he can even wage battle with God, but he is not even en his clase.

Satan seeks to confuse, cast doubt in the hearts of men, and destroy. (Gen3:1) (2 Cor 2:11)

Satan does not seek to confuse, that's what God tells the people. If Satan was not a worthy adversary God wouldn't talk about him so much. Satan is a threat to God the Tyrant. Religion cannot exist without ignorance. In the bible it says we are supposed to be God's SHEEP. Satan represents the wisdom of the Gods and enlightenment. Satan infects the blind with knowledge God does not want us to possess.

Again this is symbolic and applies even today in politics. This is why controlling education, religion and information has always been a priority of evil tyrants. God has killed far more people than Satan, is all powerful yet somehow can't get rid of Satan, yet somehow Satan is the evil one.

worship is the wrong word. more like appreciate.

appreciate jesus because he, like us, is mortal.

any moment might be his/our last.

everything is much more amazing because we are doomed.

and what you choose to do with that limited amount of time you have speaks volumes.

How is Jesus mortal when he can resurrect. I asked my pastor friend about the significance of his so called sacrifice. How the hell is dying then resurrecting a sacrifice? My grandmother died, and she ain't coming back.  People have given their lives for more than Jesus has and they don't get to come back.
His flesh was tortured and bruised til all life was drained from it.
And his spirit left his body. But he was able to manifest himself in our realm temporarily thereafter to show that
he had fulfilled his Fathers will. To be sinless, yet bare the sins of all mankind. To die unjustly so we
could be justified. All this for us (our spirits/consciousness) to have access to God/the most high/ the supreme consciousness.
He is with the Father of all now, so he lives. And his act of supreme selflessness has left the door open for all of us.
The one innocence died for all of the guilty, so we could all have a second chance if we chose.

I think Adam Smith is pretty understood

That last part is the key everyone forgets. In the later sections of the book, Smith quite directly predicts the potential for corporate oligarchy, military industrial complex, and regulatory capture in a capitalist system. He directly asks for the vigilance of the citizenry and government alike. So far we've failed in that regard.

Athiests hate it that religious people interpret the bible literally, then try to refute it using litteral interpretations lol.

When you realize all this stuff is allegory, just like every other great piece of literature, it might start to make a little more sense.
