I live by myself.

i eat out a lot. Just a rough estimate of 10 per day. I'm on the road a lot for my job so using an office microwave to heat up food isn't an option.
I'm lazy as hell in the kitchen. I don't like grocery shopping. I don't like bringing groceries in. I don't like the preparation involved with cooking. The actual cooking part isn't that bad. I don't like putting the food back up. I don't like cleaning up and washing dishes afterwards. With all of my soul, these things are true.

I'd much rather pay 10 bucks and avoid that entire process. I had a streak where I was doing good, but whatever.

My job covers $80 on my phone bill, so technically it's $20. Vzw. I'm on the road a lot and I can't have no spotty *** sprint or tmobile coverage.

Lowest rent I ever had was 476 when I lived back in alabama. It wasn't a nice complex, but it wasn't the worst. Later moved to a much nicer complex that was 555 a month :smh: and i thought that was high at the time smh

My Gf and I spend $800 on food a month and we rarely throw anything out. All groceries from the supermarket. What are we doing wrong? We also live in NYC if it matters.

Man, I spend about $150/month on fast food. OP must be eating hella good

Y'all making me jealous with these rent prices :smh:

They must live in the south, not the tri state clearly.

Cost more up here but more opportunity. Idc. This debate is old now. ATL would be only place I'd consider but I wouldn't live there.........ideally such as my cousin he has a place in ATL then another up here in Long Island which is $3600 a month but he splits that cost 50/50. (Only a 1 year lease at that)

My rent is 750 but I split that with my girl, so 375 (One bedroom apartment in between NYC and Philadelphia)

Utilities for the apartment we split, which comes to about another 225.

Car insurance(3 cars), cell phone, gym, 300

Food is my biggest expense. At least 600 per month.

Total: $1500

I have learned to keep my overhead low, which leaves me a lot of flexibility since I bring home almost double my expenses every two weeks.

And that flexibility makes life good.

Oh to live in an apartment again...

I miss having mad low utilities, no lawn care costs, no homeowner's insurance, etc. I swear my house and all the costs associated with it take up so damn much of my money. :smh:

It's a necessity for my situation, but I swear home ownership is vastly overrated.

I'm lucky I got no even remotely high expenses except my phone but all those little monthly things,15$ here,20$ there add up quick.
