HBO's The Night Of

I expected tonight's episode to be slow and super different than Episode 1.

They had some groundwork to lay
this show is more about showcasing the criminal justice system than it is about solving the actual case.

It will flip back to the case and the goings on around that night, for sure

^ true. I'll be patient.

as long as they don't leave it open-ended up be happy. i want an svu ending where everything is neatly wrapped up.

saw the first 2 episodes

nas is an idiot.
the deer blood :nerd:
knife he took was not murder weapon.
box dont care about naz.
the chicks dad appears off.

cant wait for episode 3.

how is that a bit much? my pops told me fights broke out every 5 mins in that waiting cell
i understand that..I'm saying we already know Nas is scared out of his mind..I felt they just had to throw that scene in..it felt forced

Starting to think the blood on the deer is from a previous situation in that house...

i dont think there was blood in the eyes when they showed up to the home iirc.

Im pretty sure dude who got his *** whooped in the cell was the kid in Dangerous Minds
It def was

Also I think the killer snuck in through the ground level door since the girl did not close it properly when she let the cat out the house.

Either the killer was already in the house when they got there, or had a key, no?

I'm looking at the step father, dude gave zero ***** and didn't want to be bother

They could've snuck in thru the side entrance.

If I remember correctly, when Andrea let her cat out I don't think that door closed fully.

Also, I think the cat at the end of E1 when Naz' dad was standing in the street is the same exact cat.

solid first 2 episodes. show can go in so many different directions at this point.

i hope all the details ppl have picked up on factor into the storyline, and its not just random. they need to go dexter on the crime scene...given how gruesome the murder was and him being relatively clean ..something has to add up

Ep 2 was good

The Step father could care less for the most part but was eager to point out that he lives in Queens

Episode 2 was a letdown compared to the pilot ep, not much really happened.

Hopefully it picks up in the next episode.
thought the same thing. with the series only being 8 episodes and based off the first episode, i thought there would be clues or at least some ideas pointing to new or expanding  theories in each episode, but ep 2 wasnt very interesting imo

Could it be that the cat belongs to the step pops and went to queens to find him....hmmmm.

Naz lives in queens.

Rewatched the 1st ep before last nights, i dont think it matters but it is a diff cat at the end of the 1st ep. Checked the fur pattern and everything

They are presenting the show where anyone can b the suspect..

What I don't get is how whoever did this just let Nas sleep there while it happened

the show is definitely about the criminal justice system... and I like the way they're taking their time

most shows rush through the initial holding and arraignment ..the attention to detail and the camera work is nice
