Do you wait in line or on line?

In line TX.....lol never heard "on line"

NYers do all different types of weird things with the language

For example, some of them don't pronounce an 'h' when at the beginning of a word like 'huge.' they say it as 'uge.'

Swear to god I thought you jokers were talking about online as in the Internet

 thought i was the only one. Coulda swore this thread was about who buys things online or goes to the store and waits in line

Ive heard call "in" but its mostly refered to as callin "off" work, or callin off the day.

Never heard callin "out".

This aint baseball.

Then why do people call in if they really want the day off.

Hence calling off >>>>>>

I CALL the office to tell them that I will be OUT of the office due to sickness.

So, I call OUT

I wait IN lines. I am not standing on top of people's heads, so I am not ON THE line.
