I'm a terrible cook. I'm so bad at cooking that I have a tendency to burn microwave popcorn and my wife ends up preferring it that way cuz she got so used to it.

Last time I made dinner, I undercooked the pasta and my wife for realized I can't be trusted making anything that's not in the microwave or toaster oven anymore.

What about you.

I think I'm about 4.5/10.

There are some staple dishes that I can make off the top of my head.

But I can't bake or grill. These are the next two things I want to learn this year.

I'll find out in two weeks when I go to Bahrain for about a year and I have to feed my sorry ***.

I'd say I'm about a 7-8 out of 10. I have a decent palette with reasonable cooking skills, but I'll need to follow or vague follow a recipe. I'm not very good at cooking on the fly and making up dishes with certain flavors. But once I learn a recipe, I continually improve it, memorize it and maybe altering it later down the road.

im okay.

definitely would not consider myself a "good" cook by any means, but if anthony bourdain, or andrew zimmern came over for dinner and i had prep time.....

i could whip up something and impress them.

Then that means you're better than 'good'.

I still want to master cooking a rib eye steak on a cast iron skillet.

i mean i can make a few things really well but I'm not 100% on somethings like cooking steaks how people prefer.......things like that.

there are some basic cooking things id probably struggle with.

Pretty well i assume, I always get compliments or asked to make something so I guess people like it

I like cooking, learned a lot from cooking shows growing up and youtube now

0.1/10,  scrambled eggs is literally only thing I can cook besides ramen or making a sandwich with bread and sandwich meat.

Since I've been cooking steaks on the grill my cooking skills have increased from an 8.5 to a solid 9.

Dont ever be afraid to follow instructions from the box. They are there to help.

You can also check out youtube videos for some easy how to on whatever youre cooking.

I started off bad, but got used to it. Now I can say Im a 7 out of 10.

Made Mac and Cheese last year and tried to follow the instructions on the box. My smoke detector ended up going off.

Since I moved out the house, out to another state, Mann, with Google and YouTube in hand, Ive been staying home cooking up new foods every weekend. Specially when you live in a city that doesn't have much Asian foods cause they carter to the main strain type Asian foods, you gotta make it your own.
