Say the Dolphins blow it up, how long is the rebuilding process?

I understand why teams try everything in the book before blowing it up.

I also don't understand how the Colts have completely botched maybe the luckiest come up in my life with Luck.

Teams that are run well can turn it around in a year, they probably won't be contenders but the team shows legitimate promise for the coming years

Dolphins basically lived at .500 and it's completely hit the fan this year

I still can't believe they took Kiko, Maxwell and our 12th to move up to 8

Fire.

Franc knows

Also something to keep in mind with the ratings and is likely the #1 biggest impact is the leagues greed catching up to them with being able to access the games. It's much more expensive than any other major league and in the year 2016 it takes me 2 seconds to find a flawless stream. There's a lot of people watching who aren't being accounted for. Every week i am watching 2 to 3 games + Redzone that isn't being accounted for.

I can't remember the last time I watched a full Thursday, Sunday or Monday night game.

fantasy football

What is there to blow up in Miami? It's already blown to pieces.

Good competent FO in place? I'd say three years minimum if you're starting from scratch i.e. full rebuild from the ground up.

Blowing up just the roster while leaving an incompetent FO in place just subjects the franchise to talent purgatory.

Raiders have to be the current archetype on how to rebuild from the ground up in the last few seasons. Our fans deserve it after witnessing it done the wrong way for a decade. I'd call the Vikings turn around from 2013 to now a "micro" rebuild so not really the same thing.

If the Dolphins blow it up I hope @trey ohh five and them can be patient. You had Raider fans questioning McKenzie's job security after 2 seasons when he said from the jump this was gonna be a 3 - 5 year process just to the roster to the point of being competitive from a talent standpoint.

I'll say this, when that FO is adept, watching the multiple year process of a rebuild is actually really, really, cool if you're into that kind of long term thing.

I also don't understand you guys talking about every primetime matchup is so wack....talking about "Jets vs Cardinals this week?
sick.gif
"....I understand their records aren't the best through 5 weeks but how is that a bad matchup? Fitz vs Revis and B-Marsh vs Patrick Peterson, David Johnson and Matt Forte, both teams have tons of talent all over their defenses, Palmer will be back, both him and Fitzpatrick might throw 5 picks or might throw 5 TD's. Seems entertaining to me.

And people were complaining about last night's matchup like it didn't sound good whenever the NFL came out with the schedule...up and coming Bucs vs the defending NFC champs, divisional game, Cam vs Jameis in Jameis's first MNF game

Please stop complaining
Not to pick on you my man, but this is exactly the type of response I'd expect from someone with a friend who is heavily into fantasy football.

Your friend may or may not realize he is the ideal NFL consumer in the league office's eyes. Stick to sports, Kap! Less political & social commentary, moar football games! Nothing is ever really a bad game since your friend's hefty investment into fantasy means there is always something to play for beyond what goes on the field.

...

Just because it's entertaining doesn't mean that it's good. IF it even ends up being entertaining.

Short-term, while we watch in that moment, yup we eat it up and process it. The long-term health of any successful sports league requires good teams in good matchups producing entertaining games in primetime hours. Over the years our collective attention spans are getting shorter (

), so we need these games to be efficient with our time. The current NFL has been going the opposite way of this. It's not something that just started this season either.

Don't get me wrong...I'm sitting here talking ****, but I love football like the rest of the regulars in here. I'll be plugged in this Sunday watching my guys play, and will continue to until who knows when. I'm just not as passionate about this **** like I used to be, and have no issue calling a spade a spade.

Yes, a lot of these matches are undesirable but some of you need to stop blaming the NFL for your short attention spans.

Or maybe I'm just addicted too

I love watching soccer,it's not that . It definitely feels like there's been way more unwatchable games than usual

Give $70M guaranteed to one, franchise tag one, cut one:

Derek Carr
Carson Wentz
Jameis Winston

Nicholas in here playing marry, murder, **** with QB's

At this stage

$70 million to Carr
Tagging Wentz
Cutting Jameis
