If someone thinks 3200 yards and 16 TDs is good, that's their prerogative.

The chiefs just won what 12 straight regular season games with him right ? In the era of QBs like Jay Cutler and Fitzpatrick Smith isn't a bad QB. He might have a ceiling as to how far he can lead you but wen I think Bad I think of the QBs said above

You're right, he's not bad when compared to those guys.

To steal from @10027, he's just "relentlessly mediocre"

What the he'll does m

I'm sure Dez Witten and Zeke have nothing to do with that stat [emoji]129300[/emoji] Foh

Yes, just like Torrey Smith, Vance Mcdonald, and Hyde have to do with Kaepernick averaging more yards per attempt than Wentz.

LOL. You Philly dudes are funny.

I mean, I get it.  ESPN went crazy with the comparisons three weeks in, and some Eagle fans (none on this board, as far as I know) may have gotten a little extra happy getting T-shirts made and the whole Wentzmania crap, but y'all have been watching football long enough to know how this goes.

You got it. You guys were so annoying about how good he was the first couple weeks that this slander should be expected.

that's all it looks like to me, the very ones who propped him up need to take some slander. doubt anyone really thinks he's a bust.

Exactly. He's a rookie and is doing rookie things right now. Just take this slander after being so obnoxious earlier in the season. Thing is that they're Philly fans and their jimmies are always rustled, so they take it extra hard.

Man, do we really have to have this whole conversation again?  Stating that certain people were wrong about Wentz being worth moving up for in the draft  ≠  "OMG WENTZ IS THE GREATEST ROOKIE QB OF ALL TIME, WE'RE GOING TO DA SUPER BOWL"

How were those people wrong, though?

No one has been 'right' or 'wrong' about Carson Wentz yet. He hasn't even played a full season, the Eagles might not finish .500, and his stats are mediocre.

Some folks prematurely blew their wad a few weeks into the season.

No way are the cowboys 9-1 with romo under center....

Romo with his fumblitis...and nack for throwing ill advised picks...(josh norman would of ate good with romo at the helm)

Plus dude can never stay healthy...he would of taken a hit from the G-Men, Eagles or Skins and got bodied.

Romo seemed so dejected into that press conference.....like Hillary conceding to Trump....

So all of these opposing coaches and players (You know, the ones that actually play and coach the game, and not just talk about it), that are praising him, and saying that he'll be good are just talking out of their ***?

actually a lot of people said this and/or questioned the idea of taking a "D2" QB that high

what I said, in that thread:

http://niketalk.com/t/654090/nfl-week-in-review-week-3-aka-the-carson-wentz-thread/0_20

honestly, the only things I wanted to see out of wentz this year (or any rookie QB coming in) was for him to show glimpses of the QB he can be in a year or two..

see him make certain "NFL throws" demonstrate that he has the arm strength and other attributes that can make him successful on that level (also gotta factor in the weather conditions playing outdoors in philly)

you expect nerves and/or dumb decisions from any rookie.. but some guys you can tell pretty quickly that the things that would have made them successful in college don't exactly translate (or translate to the extent that would have made them as high of a pick as they were)

It's a little like all of the "Vikings have arrived" and "Sam Bradford is amazing" takes from the first month of the season.

Unsurprisingly most of this has regressed to the mean....

Not the Cowboys or Kirk Cousins though.

Seahawks are the best team in the NFC...and NFL for that matter...

Hawks > 'Boys

What happened to the one-month waiting period? This dude created an account today and jumped into this thread with hot takes like the Kool-Aid Man

Make Niketalk Great Again

Cowboys have been blessed with an easy schedule this year....they're going to run into the Seahawks come play off time and get ran thru

I could get behind Seattle being the best team overall in the league, defense is still stout and their offense is finally starting to get it together

Dallas has the same problem as NE,a soft defense :smh:
