Nah, 1989 is one of the best albums to come out in recent years. I'd put Adele ahead by a smidgen. "You Are in Love" is one of my favorite tracks, especially with the dope Springsteen sample.

Just not how I was raised. It logically doesn't make sense either. It's music. Music doesn't define a person's masculinity. Meanwhile, when people say they listen to NWA, no one would look at them and say "oh he's a G". When in reality, that same dude sucks his thumb and wouldn't hurt a fly.

Society tells us what a man should and shouldn't be. People get too wrapped up in that.

What puts her at the top?? Record sales or quality? If its just sales than yeah sure but quality wise heeeellllllllll nooooooooo! mediocre playing and average song writer.

I mean, not a lot of artists out there can say they wrote their whole album. Some of Whitney's, Celine Dion's, etc. songs were written by other people. None of Taylor's songs were written by other people. Sure, she had some help, but she's the brain behind all of them.

This is false b :lol: Max Martin and his team cowrote and produced nearly every song on her last album. Most the hooks he wrote. So if she's getting help how is she writing all her songs?? As I said Courtney Barnett, Julia holter grimes all women who play write and produce their songs all had better albums last year and all are better than swift she just has the brand name. And I'm just naming women I could name way more men who write, produce and play their entire catalog.

Really just hoping that this whole situation opens taylors eyes to the fact that people dont like this whole revenge song stuff anymore.


I really think she is more than that her best songs are her non revenge songs (except for bad blood :smokin)
