Really wish they would've did the back tongues for these but either way I'm grabbing a pair

It's not that people KNOW he's wrong, it's just since he's clearly guessing there's no reason to assume he's right (look at his explanation). He might just have guessed correctly, but I'm willing to bet we get another tumbled Jordan 1 OG in 2017... Just a guess though lol. Even alt-SBB has tumbled leather.

Crap. Wishes could reverse time and not have sold off highlight reels. Sold em off with blk toes thinking they would do proper but no go.

Not so sure about this....JB didn't need to distinguish it the '16 BRed 1s from any other iteration -- they would have sold out with smooth leather, pigskin leather from Italy, cowhide from Wyoming, or if they were the DMP pack iteration. The BRed 1s are not apart of the 30th aniversary celebration (that was sooo 2015) but JB is trying to market the XXXIs ... by pairing them with popular color ways of the 1s. So the BRed release had very little to do with the 1s and probably had a whole lot todo with the XXXIs.

I get what both you are saying. It's a mash up between the two situations..

JB going off of what the sneaker community really wants. Wink wink
